Birthday Treats and Dare To Get Dirty

Hi friends! Today is the start of Dare to Get Dirty over on Splitcoaststampers. It's a week long celebration with multiple daily challenges hosted by the current and alumni Dirty Dozen design team members to give back and interact with the Splitcoaststampers fan club members. My card today is a sample for the challenge I'm hosting. If you're a fan club member, you can check out the challenges here. I'd love it if you'd join me! If not, there's still time to become a member and play along in the challenges for chances to win some fantastic prizes. Find info about the fan club here.

My card combines the new Sweet Treats set with my Fall Breeze set, for some delectable birthday fun. I colored the cup from Fall Breeze in corals & turquoise, then used the same colors for the sweet little treats, flowers, and heart images.

We had a new hobby lobby open up in our area. Well, apparently it's been there since April, but I just now found out about it! Anyhow, I got to go on a little shopping trip to check it out and picked up a couple of Paper Studio pads at half price. The papers on this card are from the Painted Petals pad.

I finished with the fun sentiment from Sweet Treats, then added the treat yourself sentiment from Birthday Wordfetti to finish things off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Grande Birthday Wishes and a Sale!

Hi friends! I wanted to pop in quickly and share a super sale going on this weekend! Reverse Confetti is doing Spring Clearance with 25% off the site (excluding new releases) through March 21! No code needed! It's the perfect time to pick up a little something on your wishlist.

This little card is one I made during my Dirty Dozen term for Splitcoaststampers.  I used the sweet little Coffee & You set to create a starry scene with this sweet elephant and mouse set and coordinating dies.

Mojo Monday 550

Hi friends! It's already time for a new Mojo Monday sketch! The past few weeks have gone by in a flash!  This will be the final Mojo Monday sketch of 2020, as I'll be taking a holiday break in December and the first part of January. As always, you're free to play along with any papercrafting products your heart desires and enter as many creations as you like. Use the sketch as inspiration for your creation, then come link it up below so I can come take a look! The linky for this challenge will close on November 29, 2020. I have included dimensions on the graphic later in this post, but feel free to change them up to suit your needs.

The sketch for this challenge is based off of this card I created during my time on the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen. It was my favorite card that month, and I still love it!  I used some pearlized cream cardstock so it shimmers and created the background using the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. (All background stamps are on SALE through 11/12!). After stamping the script background repeatedly in soft gray ink, I then added some Prima washi tape across the bottom, coloring in some of the butterflies with Zig clean color brush markers.

Next I stamped the butterflies from Made New on the background and also on a separate piece of paper.  I colored the butterflies with the same markers, then cut just the wings out and popped up over the background for a little dimension.

The sentiment is from the Timeless Hymns set, and is stamped on a doily die cut.  I stamped the same texture tile in the background, then splattered some black ink randomly all over my two stamped pieces.  I decided I needed one more butterfly, so added the little one sitting on the sentiment, using the same technique as the other butterflies. I finished off with some antique linen ink around the edges, then a black mat and some shabby seam binding.

It's Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' 13th birthday this month, and each week they're having a new sale.  This week's sale is 20% off all stamps in the Backgrounds and Creative Worship categories.

Alrighty, now it's your turn! I hope you enjoy creating with this sketch! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Autumn Slimline and More

Hi friends! I'm popping in with another fun slimline card and a reminder that today's the final day to take advantage of the Sweet 'n Sassy Fall Sale.

I love fall most of all. So many beautiful, bright colors, and a relief from the HOT, HOT summer! Yesterday I even got to wear a sweatshirt (my favorite comfy clothes) for the first time in quite a while. Yay! When I created this card I was immersed in an autumn vibe with my hot coffee in my mug and a pumpkin spice candle wafting it's aroma through the room.

I've really been digging the new crackling campfire distress color, so pulled it out, along with dried marigold and warm honey to do a little ink blending. I decided to cut a little square mask from a post it note to fit these fun stitched scallop dies, then did some rally quick blends.  I then used the same colors of ink to smoosh onto these leaves from the Fur-ever Friends and fussy cut to layer on the two outer squares.  The sentiment is from the Leaf Silhouettes set, and I framed it all on a slimline die cut from a woodgrain paper.  A little gold matting and I was done.  Love how this one turned out.

For my second card today, I'm sharing another one of my creations from my Dirty Dozen design team term.  For the "on a roll" theme, I chose this sweet little bear pulling his wagon of pumpkins.  He's from the darling Rhubarb's Harvest set.

I colored him up with copic markers, then die cut and matted with rounded rectangle die cuts.  The sentiment from the same set is embossed in gold directly on the patterned paper, and I added some coordinating papers and a seam binding bow to finish things off.

My next card is a super quick and easy one.  I love how a card can be as simple as stamping a background and adding a sentiment.

Here I stamped the leaves from Autumn Splendor in Crackling Campfire, Cracked Pistachio, Gathered Twigs, and Scattered Straw, then sprinkled a bit with watered down Gathered Twigs ink. I loved how the background turned out so much that I didn't want to cover it up.  So I stamped a sentiment, rounded the bottom corners and called it done. Sweet and simple!

So as I mentioned before, today is the final day of the fall sale at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  All of the stamps I used in this card  (as well as the rest of the Autumn category) are 20% off. But hurry, the sale ends tonight (9/27).

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a blessed day!

Autumn Fox

Hi friends, it's the first day of Autumn already. Can you believe it?

Today I'm sharing my absolute favorite card I created during my time on the Dirty Dozen Design team. The gallery for that month was new girl on the block, so I pulled out some of my old acrylic blocks, inked them up in autumn colors and then stamped them onto the paper in a fun overlapping design.

Next I stamped the Typewriter Text Background in antique linen over the whole card panel and blended the edges with antique linen, vintage photo, and ground espresso inks.

The images are from the absolutely adorable Fur-Ever Friends set.  I colored them up with Copics and then fussy cut to add to my card panel.  I stamped a few of the leaves around the edges in antique linen distress oxide and then matted onto kraft cardstock.  The sentiment is from Sentimental Wordfetti and I stamped it onto a little banner I had colored with Copics to match the project.

You can pick up this adorable fox and some fabulous other fall sets during the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Fall Sale! Save 20% on stamps in the Autumn category through September 27.

Believe

Hi friends! Today I'm popping in to share a card I made during my time on the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen design team. The Reverse Confetti holiday release just went live, so I figured this would be a good time to share this holiday card with some older stamp sets.

The theme for this gallery was New Girl on the Block. To fit the theme, I chose to use a long acrylic block, ink it up with distress oxides, mist with water and then apply it to a watercolor panel.  I let the block sit there for a few minutes for a vibrant color transfer.

Next I stamped and colored the sweet little manger and star from the Joyous Holiday set, then die cut with the coordinating die. i popped these up on foam tape, then added some white gel pen accents around the star.  The sentiment is from the Walk By Faith set.

I distressed the edges of the panel and then mounted on an A2 card base with some more distressed edges.

Well, that's everything about the card. If you haven't already, be sure to check out all the NEW goodies in the September Reverse Confetti release. I definitely ordered a few must-haves this morning!

Express Delivery and a New Release

Hi friends!  It's new release time at The Cat's Pajamas. and this one is all about Christmas in July.  I'm sitting this release out because.... well, 2020.  But it's ABSOLUTELY adorable, and you need to check it out!

Since I don't have something with the new release to share, I thought I'd pull out another card I created during my Dirty Dozen time and can now share with y'all.  It uses the previously released Sketchy Santas set, which totally makes me giggle. I just love these fun Santa images, and they have coordinating dies, too! Buy them together in the bundle, for some sweet savings.

I stenciled the Blizzard stencil onto designer paper, then embossed with sparkle embossing powder for a fun textured background.  I hand cut a hill, then embossed with sparkle embossing powder as well, and layered onto my other panel with foam tape.  The Santa image is colored with Copics and die cut, adding a bit of frosted lace stickles to his beard for accent.

The tag uses the Halloween Tag Duo. I added patterned paper to the bottom half, lined with silver ribbon, and added some snowflakes and the express delivery sentiment embossed in silver to finish things off.

If you're looking for a fun challenge, the TCP Tuesday challenge this month is Christmas in July! TCP stamps are not required by we do love to see 'em. Enter on the TCP Blog for a chance to win this month's prize.

Below, I've linked the July release, available now in the TCP shop!

July 2020 Release

My Supply List

Shine Like the Stars and a TCP Sale

Hi friends! It's the start of a FABULOUS new month (it's my birthday month!) and there is a whopper of a sale starting at The Cat's Pajamas!  40% off your ENTIRE order July 1 - 6, no code needed!  Yippee! Alma (owner of TCP) is one of the best of the best in this industry, and I hope she gets flooded with orders!

My card today is one I made earlier this year for the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen. I had soooooo much fun making this one! The images are from the darling Wish stamp set and the sentiment is from One Liners.

I started by stamping and coloring the bunny image, then the star duo a few times.  Next I masked off the images and blended a background with distress oxides (the Big Beautiful Blending Brush is awesome for blending!) and splattered on some white paint  and water for a starry night look.  The sentiment, shine like the stars, is embossed in white. The background paper is a silver star paper from my stash and I finished off with some yellow seam binding and a chipboard star I coated with silver embossing powder.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous start to the month!

If you shop through the affiliated links below I get a small percentage of the sale price at no cost to you! Rainbow Toucan

Hi friends! Today I'm popping in with another favorite card from my time on the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen. The theme for this gallery was New Kid on the Block, and I was inspired to use the acrylic block technique for a fun rainbow background.

I started by coloring an acrylic block in rainbow colors using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I then spritzed lightly to let the colors blend and smooshed onto a panel of white cardstock.  I put a book over the block to weigh it down and waited a few minutes to let the colors really blend and transfer.

When that was dry, I embossed the Fishing Net Bold Prints in white over the background, then inked up the edges with black ink for contrast and depth.

The toucan and greenery are from the Hello Toucan set, and are colored with Copic markers, then cut with the coordinating frame cuts.

The background for the card is done on paradise cardstock, then I took one of the small marks stamps from the set and stamped it repeatedly in Antigua for a fun background. I then did a little more sponging around the edges, then layering together and adding the thinking of you sentiment embossed on black cardstock to finish things off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative day.

Live More

Hi friends! How's it going? Today I'm popping in with a favorite card from my time on the Dirty Dozen. This one seems really fitting for the present time.

Don't these little critters flying their kites just make you smile? The theme for this gallery was Playlist, and I chose to be inspired by the song You Need to Calm Down by Taylor Swift. I took the calm down, don't hate message of the song and turned it into a live more, worry less card.

The stamps are from the Live More set from The Cat's Pajamas. It's an absolutely adorable set! the stamped image is colored with both Zig Clean Color markers and Copics.  I then matted the panel with black cardstock.

The sentiment is stamped and then cut into a banner shape.  I glued everything down onto some rainbow striped paper then finished off with a little banner sticker in the corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Tea-rrific

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a fun shabby chic creation that doubles as a gift card holder.

The card started off how most of my shabby chic creations start... with a Prima paper pad. This time it was the Santorini collection. I stamped the teapot  and teabag from the Tea for Two set directly onto one of the papers, then added a few gel pen accents, hand trimmed, and sponged around the edges with antique linen and vintage photo distress oxide.

I created the gift card pocket with a Lawn Fawn die, adding lots of sponging and tucking in a Starbucks gift card.  I then stamped the for my tea-rrific friend sentiment and cut out with a circle die, then started layering everything together.  I added some lace, ephemera, and paper butterfly and flowers to finish things off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I think you're tea-rrific!
