Sweet Vintage Vibes for Valentine's Day

I am head-over-heels for the new Vintage Valentine EZ Postage Printable from LV Handcrafted! Here’s a quick look at how I put this romantic card together:

  • The Postage Grid: Cut using the EZ Wonder Die #3 from one of the pages in the collection.

  • The Layers: I matted the vintage couple and the heart and roses images on black EZ Wonder #3 Add-ons die cuts and added the fussy-cut heart and bottle as one of my vignettes.

  • The Sentiment: A little "crafty surgery" went into this! I snipped my sentiment from the Gnome Love Card Kit in half and created custom-width black banners by double-die-cutting them with the EZ Wonder #1 Add-ons.

  • The Glow-Up: A white gel pen for detail and Stardust Stickles for a hint of magic.

Does this collection tug at your heartstrings as much as mine? Let me know in the comments!

Hooray for a New Stamp Set

Hi friends! It's the first day of February and I'm super excited to have new stamp and die set releasing under the J Tilman Designs label with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps today! It's a new hearts and coffee themed set called Latte Love.

I love coffee, and hearts, and all things Valentine's day, so I've been not-so-patiently waiting for this set to release for a few months now!  After a few unforeseen delays, it's finally here! Eeeek! You can purchase the stamp set and coordinating dies individually, or you can buy the bundle and save a bit when you purchase them together! Yay!

I've had a lot of fun playing with this set already, so you'll be seeing a bunch of crafty caffeinated goodness coming your way this month! Today's card uses the title sentiment from the set.  I stamped the outline heart steam, masked off the bottom heart and then stamped the mug of hearts. This is colored with Copic markers, then accented with sparkle and clear lacquer pens for a little shine.  A few circle die cuts and some fun valentine papers from years gone by and this fun card is ready to hit the mailbox.

I hope you'll head to the shop to check out this new set and take a peek at the rest of this month's fabulous release. There are definitely some must-haves in the mix!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a fantastic day!

Heart Stealer

Hi friends! I'm back today with a little mini slimline valentine for you! This sweet little raccoon from the Stolen My Heart stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps had to hop into my cart a while back and has been sitting in my "to use" pile.  Since I'm trying to use more of what I have, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to color him up.

He's colored with Copic markers, then cut with my Scan 'n Cut with no border.  I grabbed some valentine paper scraps from my stash and got to work on the layout.  The sentiment is embossed in white  and I finished off with some puffy heart stickers from my stash and a bunch of white gel pen accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful start to your weekend!

Cute Little Gnomies

Hi friends! I’m popping in today with a cute little Valentine’s set I created with Jaded Blossom stamps for their monthly challenge. This month's challenge is anything goes, and I couldn't wait to make some valentines! These darling gnomes in the Gnome Kisses set were calling my name, so I colored them up with Copics and tested out the new Scan ‘n Cut hubby bought me for Christmas, cutting them with a 0.4 border. I then added some white gel pen accents and sparkle lacquer pen accents and set aside to dry.

Next I pulled out the Hello Valentine paper pad from Echo Park and set to making a card with one of the gnomes. I stamped the sentiment on a die cut circle, then matted with coordinating colors. I finished off with a couple of hearts from the Cute Little Gnomie set, then glued everything together.

Next, up I wanted to make a little Valentine treat, so I pulled out the Pennant Topper Die Set, and cutting with coordinating papers, so the card and treat would match. I added a little sentiment banner with the xoxo from the Cute Little Gnomie set and accented the o’s with rhinestone hearts.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic day!

April 21 Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi friends! Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps April Release Hop! Hop along with us as we share our projects with the fabulous April release with you. Don't forget to leave a little comment love for the designers linked below (including our brand new team member) for a chance to win a $25 gift voucher to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, April 28.

If you've arrived from Karen's blog, you're right on track! If not, be sure to head over to the start of the hop on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog for all the info and another card from me! If a link misbehaves along the way head on back there for the full hop list. All right, let's get hopping!

My card today features a few of the new release goodies. The images are from the Mr. & Mrs. Stamp & Die Bundle. I just love these elegant images and colored them up for a happy couple with Copic markers. I then cut with the coordinating dies.

I created the background with the Script Stencil with aqua ink, then embossed a sentiment from the new Everyday Greetings 2 set. A little foam dimension and the front of the card was done.  I love how these images fill out a slimline card so well!

For the inside, I chose a sentiment from the Engagement & Wedding Innies set and stamped it on a square of white cardstock.  I accented with the shoes from the Mr. & Mrs. set, since I thought it went well with the "first step" part of the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by! There is still a ton of inspiration on the hop, so be sure to click on over to the next stop.

The next stop on the hop is the fabulous Jane Bosi!

Engagement Smooshing

Hi friends! It's a brand new month and that means there's a fabulous new release in the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop. There's tons of new products, and through April 9, you can get 10% off new releases, or buy the Release Bundle and save 20%!

My nephew is getting married in May, so I was super excited to see the fun new wedding sets in this month's release. This gown in the Mr. & Mrs set just took my breath away.  I colored the gown, bouquet and heels in Copic markers then cut with the coordinating dies.

The background is done by smooshing watered down peacock feathers and shaded lilac inks. I then stamped the engagement sentiment from the previously released Engagement & Wedding Innies set to finish things off.

I've linked up the entire release below, if you want to take a peek. I do so appreciate when you use my links!

Peonies with Love

Hi friends! I thought I'd pop in with a non-coffee card today.  I was splashing around with ink in the studio the other day and created this fun smooshed background.  I decided to go with a very simple layout and color flowers I fussy cut from the Peony Cluster set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps in coordinating colors.  I tucked a little sentiment tag between the flowers to finish things off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic day!

Mojo Monday 553

Hi friends! It's Monday and time for a brand new Mojo Monday sketch! I hope you can find a little time in the next couple weeks to play along with me!

As always, we're playing just for fun. I'm an equal opportunity stamper, so feel free to use any papercrafting products your heart desires and enter as many creations as you like. Use the sketch as inspiration for your creation, then come link it up below so I can come take a look! The linky for this challenge will close on February 21, 2021. I have included dimensions on the graphic later in this post, but feel free to change them up to suit your needs, and never worry about substituting a shape or layer.

This week I've got a mini slimline card (7" x 6" cardstock, scored at 3.5" on the long side and folded in half) and sketch for you. No worries if you're not into slimlines, it's easy to adapt to an A2 size, as well.  I pulled out this sweet ltitle snowman from the Christmas Blocks (part of the overstock sale going on this month) set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps with the idea of making a valentine.  I grabbed an Echo Park paper pad and cut my layers down, matting with white.

The snowman image is colored with Copics and I added a little white heart to each of the squares, then accented with stickles.  The hearts are from the Forever & Always stamps and stamped and then hand trimmed with a thin white border.  The sentiment is from Love Wordfetti and I embossed it in red on a white panel I had cut with a border from the Bookmarks & More Dies.  I finished off with a twine bow and a red rhinestone heart.

Alrighty, now it's your turn! I hope you've been inspired to create something with this sketch. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Please join me for Mojo Monday!

I started by stamping the to go cups from I Like Big Cups twice and then coloring with Copic markers and fussy cutting.  I then stamped the cup cozy on two different patterned papers and pieced onto my cups.

The sentiment is from the Punny Love set, and I stamped it on patterned paper and cut with a heart shaped die.  I cut the flowers from the same paper I used for one of the cozies, then layered it all together.  Super fun and sweet.

Okay, there's lots more inspiration in store, so keep on hopping!

Sneaky Peek Week - Best Day Ever

Hi friends! It's day 3 of sneak peeks for the January release From The Cat's Pajamas.  This release will put a spring in your step! Everything we're peeking this week is available individually right now in the store, or if you decide you need it all, you can buy the Kitty Cat or Poochie Packs at a discount, beginning on release day, January 26. Today we're peeking the darling set, Best Day Ever.  Y'all know I had to reach for this sweet coffee loving couple first, right? They're completely adorable. I thought I'd make a sweet valentine for my hubby with it. The You & Me sentiment made me think of a scrapbook page, so I kind of took that inspiration for the card.
The image is colored with copics, then masked off and blended with oxide inks.  The sentiment is stamped onto an ephemera frame and the so happy was part of the same ephemera pack.  The papers are from the coordinating paper pad, and I accented with ribbon and some patterned paper flowers from the Flower Wagon CutUps, and hearts from the previously released Nested Hearts CutUps.

For a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the store, comment on each of the designer's blogs including mine today and also on my Instagram account @vervegirl. Love in the Air

Hi friends! We've had some dreary, rainy days around here lately, so I've been wishing for blue sky and rainbows.  It seems that my wish made itself known as I created today's card!

I'm totally smitten with the new Big Love Confetti Cuts from Reverse Confetti. I cut it here from two styles of paper, then popped up the heart die cut on a foam sheet for a little dimension.  The cloud background is stenciled with mist and navy inks, then I stamped the sentiment from Love is in the Air on the stenciled background and adhered the love die cut above it.

This panel is popped up on a foam sheet and added to an A2 card base. Super quick and easy, and sure to bring a smile!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your day is filled with blue skies and rainbows.

Reverse Confetti January Release Hop

Hey friends! It's release day over at Reverse Confetti, and I'm so excited to be joining in the fun this month.  It's a spectacular release, and we're hopping along sharing inspiration with the new goodies. If you've been hopping along, you just saw an amazing creation from Rebecca Keppel. After this stop, you'll be heading over to be wowed by Audrey Tokach.  The full hop list is at the bottom of this post. I have a few projects to share today, so grab a cuppa something awesome and hop along.

As soon as I opened my package, this little skunk from Love is in the Air was screaming my name. When hubby and I were first dating he always brought me back Pepé Le Pew and Penelope gifts whenever he went on a trip. I forget why it even started but it became a "thing". LOL  So this is going to be hubby's Valentine card.  I colored up our little skunk friend with Zig markers, then cut with the coordinating confetti cuts.

Next I cut the new Big Love Confetti Cuts, layering patterned paper letters cut from the From Cupid Paper Pad over white cardstock die cuts and popping up the heart die cut, blended with ink, and then highlighted with a white gel pen. I added some black and white print paper from the This & That Paper Pad behind as a contrast and completed the card with a panel of white stamped with the heart from Love is in the Air.

Next I pulled out the new Farmhouse Wreath set and colored it up in aqua and greens, then cut with the coordinating confetti cuts. I also cut the RC Aqua panel with the new Outlined Frame Cover Panel Confetti Cuts. Patterned paper from the Cheerful & Kind Paper Pad provides a backdrop for my collage of elements.  I added a Scalloped Squares Confetti Cuts frame and a tag from the Three Tags Confetti Cuts. A sentiment from Best Sentiments finishes things off.

Next I moved on to a couple of fun projects with the Pencil Treat Holder Confetti Cuts.  This die is for so much more than pencils!

First up, I thought the sweet little snail from Love is in the Air needed his own little mailbox. I cut the die cut from white cardstock, then scored about 1.75" from each end and connected with the little flaps.  I added a strip of paper to decorate, then used a die cut L from the Big Love Confetti Cuts as the flag, attaching with a heart shaped bard.  I colored up the smell and die cut, then adhered it to the front of a baggie of Hershey's nuggets that I tucked inside the mail box. Pretty cute snail mail, huh?

For my final project today, I decided to make a bookmark from the Pencil Treat Holder. I cut it from colored cardstock, then added a strip of patterned paper to fit under the little flaps.  I accented the bottom with the sweet pup from Love is in the Air, then stamped the XOXO and be mine stamps for the sentiment panel, adding some white highlights to the xoxo.  I matted this with pieces from the Scalloped Squares, then finished the top with heart die cuts from the Big Love confetti cuts and finished with a tab of ribbon at the top. Such a super fun and easy project.

Alright, thanks so much for hanging out with me! Be sure to check out what everyone else is sharing today.  Your next stop on the hop is Audrey Tokach.
