TCP Tuesday Reminder

Hi friends! It's time for your final TCP Tuesday reminder.

This month we're challenging you to create with flowers. There are lots of goodies in the shop that fit this theme, but don't sweat it if you don't have any... all brands of stamps are welcome for TCP Tuesday. 😁 Here are the challenge details...

  • To play along, upload your design to the Inlinkz link up on The Cat’s Pajamas blog
  • The Cat’s Pajamas products are NOT required, but we do LOVE to see them!
  • Winner is announced the first Tuesday of the following month and will receive a $50 gift voucher to The Cat's Pajamas store.

Since The Cat's Pajamas world is going digital, this is the final TCP Tuesday challenge.  Don't forget we're clearing out our existing inventory in a progressive sale. Currently, all our stamps, dies, stencilz and embellishments are 20% off. The month of April, the discount will deepen to 30% off and May will see a 40% off sale. If we have any inventory left, June 50% off, etc.

I  went clean & simple and mini slim on this card. To begin, I masked off a rectangular panel and blended with squeezed lemonade and mustard seed distress inks.  The images from the Stuck on You Bundle are stamped onto watercolor cardstock, and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I die cut with the coordinating dies and then glued them down onto my blended panel.  The sentiment is embossed in white on a black strip of cardstock, then I finished off with some rounded corners on the bottom edges of the card.

Final TCP Tuesday Challenge and a Progressive Sale!

Hi friends! Before I get to my card today, there's some big news in The Cat's Pajamas world! Here's what Alma has to say...

If there’s one thing that 2020 taught us is to be versatile. With so many people shopping from home and shipping and manufacturing times uncertain, and our need to spend more time with the ones we love, The Cat’s Pajamas has decided to go digital.
This allows us to bring you digital stamps and Cutables (for your electronic cutting machine) for a low price and immediate download. This means no waiting for your order to arrive and no extra expense to cover postage. Our digital stamps will be saved at 300 dpi so you can make the stamp as big or small as you want. You can even flip them to suit your needs or turn your stamps into t-shirts or signage or whatever you can image.
And since we are going digital, we are clearing out our existing inventory in a progressive sale. Starting in March, all our stamps, dies, stencilz and embellishments will be 20% off. The month of April, the discount will deepen to 30% off and May will see a 40% off sale. If we have any inventory left, June 50% off, etc.

With that said, this will be the final TCP Tuesday challenge. This month we're challenging you to create with flowers. There are lots of goodies in the shop that fit this theme, but don't sweat it if you don't have any... all brands of stamps are welcome for TCP Tuesday. 😁 Here are the challenge details...

Oh my goodness, I know from personal experience how hard these decisions are to make. I hope y'all will help Alma clear out her inventory so she can move forward on this journey!  I thought the sentiment "Live more, worry less" from the Live More set would be appropriate for today, as I hope this is just what Alma is able to do!  I paired it with my absolute favorite TCP floral set, Still Life Bundle. I water colored with distress inks, then paired with a couple of the many backgrounds I made in Jenn Shurkus' recent Distress Techniques for Cardmakers Class. This was an amazing class, and I would highly recommend it!

TCP Tuesday 376 Reminder

Hi friends! It's time for a friendly reminder about the February TCP Tuesday challenge! This month our challenge is to create with patterned paper and we'd love for you to play along, and maybe even win a cool prize! TCP stamps are not required, but we do love to see 'em! 😁 Here are the challenge details...

Each month a new challenge is posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and Facebook page.

For the challenge I started with some bunny cuts from the Easter Basket Die, cutting with some fun patterned paper and sponging with distress inks. I then cut the grass from the Slimline Basics CutUps from polka dot paper, then cut it with the Rectangular Stamp die.  I then cut the rectangle die from dark brown and white cardstock.  I masked off the stitched lines on the white inner portion with tape, then blended some speckled egg for the sky.  I lined up my bunnies, popped the grass up on foam tape, then tucked the completed panel inside the dark brown frame.

The sentiment is from the Happy set and I stamped it in dark brown on white cardstock, then added some nuvo drops to accent the bold letters.  I finished with a bow.

TCP Tuesday 376

Hi friends! It's time for a brand new TCP Tuesday challenge! This month month we're challenging you to create with patterned paper. Use a little, use a lot, but I'm sure we all have a bunch in our stash to choose from!   Here are the challenge details...

There are some ridiculously cute new die cuts in the shop that are absolutely perfect for patterned papers. For this card, I used the Easter Basket Die cut from different patterns of paper and cardstock.  I also used a flower from the Flower Wagon Die.  And that sweet chick is from the Lamb/Bunny/Chick Dies.  I colored her with Copic markers, then cut the ribbon from the Easter Basket Die and snipped off the tails to make a sweet little hair bow for her.

The sentiment is from the Follow the Bunny set, and I used a die cut from the Slider die for the stick to make a sign.  I finished off with a dots embossed panel and some rhinestones.

TCP Tuesday 375

Hi friends! It's time for a brand new TCP Tuesday challenge! This month month we're challenging you to create with a Spring theme. There are lots of goodies in the shop that fit this theme, but don't sweat it if you don't have any... all brands of stamps are welcome for TCP Tuesday. 😁 Here are the challenge details...

I knew I wanted to use the Woof set, so I colored this happy little pup and several of the butterflies from the set up with Copic markers then cut with the coordinating dies. This paper from the Carta Bella Flower Market line was calling my name for a spring card, so I stamped the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper, then started layering my images.

For the grass I cut a piece of green cardstock using the grass from Slimline Basics, then stenciled the grass from the Great Outdoors stencil in green to add a little dimension.  Then it was just a matter of layering my pieces and adding a few flowers cut from the same paper.  Oh, and of course, I had to finish with a little glitter!

My Kind of People

Hi friends! Tomorrow is release day, so we’re wrapping up our peeks of the new release from The Cat's Pajamas today! It's Day 7 of Sneaky Peek Week, and we get to choose what we want to peek today. I fell in love with these little monsters as soon as I saw this set, so I chose to feature the new Yeti to Party Bundle. There’s a giveaway today, too! Just look for the In it to Win it graphic on the DT posts linked at the bottom of this post and leave a little comment for each of them to be entered to win a Cat Cash gift code to the shop! All the new release sets are available in the shop right now, so if you see a must-have there's no need to wait! Plus we've started our Black Friday sale early so you can save an amazing 40% on this fabulous release!

I started out by coloring this sweet little munster from Yet it Party with Copic markers, then cutting with the coordinating dies. I knew I wanted to use a tag in the design to go along with this month's TCP Tuesday Tag It challenge (there's still a week to play!), so I pulled out the Wish Tag Duo and cut from white cardstock and then from chipboard and layered them together for a sturdy tag.

I just love the you're my kind of people sentiment, so stamped it on white cardstock, adding a few heart stamps from the set, then cut with the Framed Up CutUps, then cut the circle again from black cardstock to frame it. It's probably no surprise that my kind of people would be drinking coffee (or tea or cocoa), so I added him raising a little cuppa from the Year of the Rat set.  The rest of the card, is just layering with some patterned paper, adding a little ribbon to the tag, and accenting with some nuvo drops.

Alright, that's all for today. Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget about the amazing sale going on right now!!

Now it's time to see what my other teamies are sharing today. Leave a little love at each of their blogs today for a chance to win the drawing! Check out all the details on the TCP Blog.

TCP Tuesday Reminder and a SALE

Hi friends! It's time for your friendly reminder about the TCP Tuesday challenge. Well, maybe not a reminder, since I wasn't able to participate earlier in the month! But there's still time to play along with our Tag It challenge for a chance to win some cat cash to the TCP shop!

Here are the challenge details...

Each month a new challenge is posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and Facebook page.

Before I get to my tags, I wanted to let you know about the AMAZING sale that starts today! There's a new release the design team will be sharing with you all week, and Alma is starting her 40% off Black Friday sale early this year! That means you can take advantage of the sale EVEN on the new release items in the shop! How awesome is that?!  I know someone who's getting stamps for Christmas! LOL Okay, on with my makes for the challenge...

I made two tags for the challenge, one fall and one winter. This first one uses this sweet little autumn fairy and sentiment from the Simply Blessed set. I watercolored the image with Distress Oxides and then cut with the coordinating dies.  The sentiment is embossed in copper, and I used the Wish Tag Duo and the Framed Up dies for my tag layers, then finished off with some taffeta ribbon.

For my second tag I went with a winter theme using the same Wish Tag Duo and Framed Up dies, this time with the Freezin' Season paper. The sweet little candy cane truck driver (oh, I wish that someone would deliver me a candy cane right about now!) from the North Pole or Bust set is colored with Copics and then fussy cut.  The sentiment is from the darling Sketchy Santas and I embossed it in silver on vellum, then layered everything together. I accented with some silver ribbon and a couple jingle bells.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll  pop over to the store to check out the new stamps and the fabulous sale! I'll be back tomorrow to share some of the new stamps!

TCP Tuesday 373 Reminder

Hi friends! It's time for a friendly reminder about the October TCP Tuesday challenge! This month our theme is Autumn and we'd love for you to play along, and maybe even win a cool prize! TCP stamps are not required, but we do love to see 'em! 😁 Here are the challenge details...

Each month a new challenge is posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and Facebook page.

  • The Cat’s Pajamas products are NOT required, but we do LOVE to see them!

For the challenge, I pulled out the new Stitched Tree Duo and cut from cream cardstock.  I placed all the leaves in my splat box I do all my spraying in. It's got enough leftover pixie spray on the bottom of it to keep everything from moving! Then I sprayed all the little leaves with crackling campfire and antique linen distress oxide sprays.  I left them to dry and started water coloring the tree with gathered twigs distress oxide.

I layered the tree onto a panel of patterned paper from days gone by and outlined with a fine tip marker.  Next I worked on this sweet little Stitched Fox. Isn't he cute? I remember days on the farm walking through the fields hoping for peeks at the foxes.  I thought they were so adorable... right until I saw one rip a rabbit apart! LOL  I don't think I'll ever forget it!  But this paper one is a vegetarian, so no worries. Haha! I cut his body from a rust colored patterned paper, and then the face and tail from white colored cardstock and then accented with Copic marker and metallic marker details.  I placed him by the tree and then glued the leaves falling down in the breeze.

I finished with the Hello Fall sentiment from The World is Yours, adding some stitching details by hand to match the stitching details on the die cuts.

TCP Tuesday 372 Reminder

Hi friends! It's time for your friendly reminder about the TCP Tuesday challenge. The September challenge is animals and you have through the end of the month to play along for a seriously cool prize!

Here are the challenge details...

Each month a new challenge is posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and Facebook page.
For my card I chose this sweet little bunny and kitty image from the Creep it Real set. I was feeling the need to take a break from the Christmas releases to do something a little more in season, so chose to make a fun Halloween card.

The image is colored with Copics and hand trimmed.  I stamped the sentiment on a die cut from the Stamped Square CutUps, and matted with the outer square stamp frame from the same die set.  I added a few bats using The Neighboohood stencil with wilted violet and black soot inks, then coated with crystal clear lacquer pen and dusted with glitter.

The background was also created with The Neighboohood stencil.  I love that this stencil set also includes the mask, so you can easily create a super spooky scene.  I first used the stencil part with wilted violet for the bats, hickory smoke for the tombstones, and frayed burlap on the tree.  I shaded each with pumice stone for a little variation in hue.  Next I removed the stencil and placed the mask over my stenciled images.  I then did a blend from gray to purple to black for a super spooky look.  The bats blended in to my dark sky a bit, so I outlined them with a silver pen, then layered everything together.

Hi friends! It's time for a brand new TCP Tuesday challenge! This month our theme is animals!  Easy peasy with all the sweet critters in the TCP shop! We hope you can come play along.. there's a seriously cool prize for one lucky participant! 😁 Here are the challenge details...

For the challenge, I chose sweet little PJ the bear all decked out for Christmas in the Beary Christmas set. I colored the image with Copic markers. I then masked off the image and a bit of snow and blended speckled egg distress ink in the background, then flicked glimmer metallic ink on with a paintbrush for some falling snow.

Next I created a background for the card in the same way with speckled egg distress oxide and glimmer metallic ink.  I die cut the Holiday Toppers and used it for the trees in the background.  Then I hand trimmed a piece of white cardstock to meet up with the snowy banks on my image.  This panel is added with foam tape, then I added snowy accents with some stardust stickles.  I finished off with the Beary Christmas sentiment and a few snowflakes from the Five Snowflakes Dies,
