Mix It Up Easter Bunny Card + Video

Hey friends! I'm participating in a giveaway hop on YouTube and have a fun little card process video to share. You can watch it below on the blog or on my YouTube channel. It's a giveaway hop, so you won't want to miss it.

We’ve all been there—staring at a beautiful new collection like the Not 2 Shabby March Box and feeling too overwhelmed to start. For this video, I was inspired by Jamie (our Not 2 Shabby fearless leader) to randomly draw my supplies from a list of prompts.

  • The Strategy: I wrote down the names of all the paper pads, ephemera, and sentiments on small strips of paper.

  • The Draw: Fate gave me the Spring in Bloom paper, Hoppy Little Moments ephemera, and Joyous Easter A2 Card Fronts sentiments.

  • The Result: Because the kit is so well-curated, the "random" items matched perfectly, allowing me to skip the stress of decision making and get straight to the "egg-stra" fun part of crafting.

This crafting session was so much fun and I encourage you to give this process a try.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Spring Greetings with Not 2 Shabby

Hello crafty friends! Who's excited for spring? I'm ringing in the brand new season with a spring greetings card! I'm more than ready for some spring vibes!

This card came together really quickly with the help of the Pink Blossom Easter PET tape and Watercolor Roses paper pad from Not 2 Shabby Shop. For the layout, I cut 1.25" x 5" strips from three patterns in the Watercolor Roses paper pack. I then taped them together and used white pin stripe peel-off strips as a divider between the prints.

For the horizontal divider, I pulled in a 1.5" x 3.75" strip of wood grain paper from the Farm Life Paper Pad.  I lined the top and bottom with some heart chain peel off stickers. The gorgeous easter egg bucket sticker from the Pink Blossom Easter PET Tape is my focal image, placed onto an oval die cut from a pink print in the Watercolor Roses paper pad. The oval is matted with a white scalloped oval and then popped up on dimensional foam.  The sentiment is from the Spring Gnome stamp set. I stamped each word separately, then drew little frames around them. I finished with a soft pink mat around the main panel and a few of the butterfly stickers on the papers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Gingham and Sunshine with Not 2 Shabby

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to another week! Today I've got a sweet little Easter treat box to share with you. I know it's barely St. Patrick's Day, but in the crafty world we always seem to be working at least one holiday in the future.  I just absolutely fell in love with this dreamy little bunny sticker from the Blue Spring Awakening PET tape and couldn't wait to create something to show him off.

The box is created with the gable box die from Jaded Blossom, cut from white cardstock.  I paired it with paper from the Winter Gingham, popping in a bit of bashful blue and pacific blue cardstock stitched rectangle die cuts as mats as decoration for the sides.

I used the same blue ginham for the sentiment tag, using the Spring Words Die for the Easter and a sticker from Blue Spring Awakening for the blessings. I finished with some stickers around the edges for decoration, tucked in some treats and tied with a taffeta bow.

Easter Treats with Your Paper Insider

Hello friends! Today I'm excited to share a couple of Easter treat boxes I created using papers from Your Paper Insider. Their quarterly subscription boxes are packed with a variety of beautiful cardstock and specialty papers, perfect for all sorts of papercrafting projects. I used their papers to create these fun boxes with the Octagon Treat Box and Easter Treat Box Add On dies from Jaded Blossom.

I was very impressed with the quality of this cardstock. It die cut cleanly and effortlessly, and the smooth surface was ideal for blending inks. I added some depth and dimension to this adorable bunny with a bit of Copic marker shading on the bow and ears. White gel pen highlights and black gel pen dots for freckles provide the finishing touches.

I couldn't resist making another box! This time, it's a cute little chick with a fabulous bow! I used some fancy Tarasen paper layered over pink pearl paper for the bow. The beak is my favorite part - I blended orange inks on yellow cardstock and then added glitter glaze. It's so sparkly! These boxes were a breeze to assemble, and I had a blast making them!

If you're interested in these papers, I've linked the box that I received below. You can buy older boxes individually or you can subscribe for a little discount. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day!

Easter Eggs Ahead

Hey crafty friends! Today I'm hopping by with a little Easter inspiration with some favorite Jaded Blossom supplies. I think the Happy Easter Gnomie set is one of my favorite stamp sets.  It's so fun to color up these bunny gnomes.

So I started with the gnomie, coloring him up with Copic markers, then cutting with the coordinating Outline Dies. I layered some Doodlebug papers for the background using the Rectangles 2 and Scallop Rectangles 2 Dies.

The sign is cut from white card stock using the North Pole Sign and I added a bit of shading with some gray Copics. I cut the sign portion from patterned paper and then embossed the sentiment from Bunny Trail in white. I finished with some little grass die cuts courtesy of the Mushroom House Die, then scattered a few enamel dots for accent.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have an egg-straordinary day!

Jaded Blossom February 2024 Release Blog Hop

Hey Everyone!  Welcome to
Jaded Blossom's February Stamp Release Blog Hop.
If you're here from Cynthia you're in the right place, if you're just passing through start at the beginning because you don't want to miss a thing.  I also have the complete line up at the bottom.

Today I have two projects to share. The first card features the new Gnome Friends: Bunny Die and the MDF Gnome: Bunny.  *I cut the pieces from colored cardstock an sponged around the edges with distress ink.  I have him holding a carrot from the Wheelbarrow Dies: Easter Add Ons and wearing some glasses from the Glasses Die set. I tied a twine bow on the bunny's loop, then attached to my car with repositionable glue dots so it can be removed easily.  The sentiment is from the Some Bunny Tag freebie. I curved it to match the shape of the Mini Tags 2 Die I chose.

My second project is a little treat bag topper using the XL Topper Die. I chose pink crdstock and some Doodlebug paper for the topper.  Then I stamped the Some Bunny Tag freebie and the separate bunny image. The tag is cut with the Treat Tag Die and I cut the bunny with my Scan 'n Cut, colored with copics and then popped up on dimensionals.  The 5x5 inch treat bags were perfect to hold a bunch of Starburst jelly beans (my favorite) to finish off this little treat.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have fun hopping!

Feb JB Sneak Peeks Day 3

Hi friends! It's Day 3 of sneak peeks for the February Jaded Blossom release! I hope you've been enjoying all the inspiration so far. We're sneaking peeks at all the new goodies each day leading up to release day tomorrow (Feb 8). Today we're sharing our makes with the NEW Wheelbarrow Dies: Easter Add OnLove Bunny Stencil and the Some Bunny Tag freebie with purchase.

For today's card, I started with the carrot patch from the Wheelbarrow Dies: Easter Add Ons. I colored with Copic markers, then assembled together.  The main Wheelbarrow Die is cut from tidepool cardstock and inked with evergreen bough distress ink.  I embossed the sentiment from Bunny Trail onto this piece, then assembled the rest of the wheelbarrow parts.

For the background I stenciled the bunny layer of the new Love Bunny Stencil in lost shadow ink, then the heart layer with tumbled glass distress ink. This panel is cut with the Card Mat Dies.

I finished off with the sweet little bunny from the Bicycle & Friends Die set. He's cut with sno cone and desert storm cardstock, then inked with brushed corduroy and tumbled glass.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll see you back here tomorrow for a blog hop and giveaway to celebrate the new release!

Feb JB Sneak Peeks Day 1

Hi friends! It's time for a fabulous new release from Jaded Blossom! This one brings us some seriously cute critters and Easter goodies! Yay! We're sneaking peeks at all the new goodies each day leading up to release day on Thursday, Feb 8. Today we're sharing our makes with the NEW Gnome Friends: Bunny Die, Bunny Trail, stamp set, and Bunny Faces Stencil. There are also a couple additions to the MDF line that are not included in the release package, but are available for purchase.

Since both of my boys wear glasses, I decided to add a pair of shades to this cool bunny using the previously released Glasses Dies. To go alongside the bunny stand, I made a Gable Box to hold some extra dark chocolate Lindt truffles. Trevor has always been interested in nutrition facts and has called these chocolate fat balls since he was pretty small. Haha!

I decorated the front of the box with dies from the Gnome Dies: Easter Add Ons, then used a Mini Tag Dies 2 die cut for the sentiment from the new Bunny Trail stamp set. I finished off by adding his name using the Build a Booth: Alphabet Dies.

That's all for today. If you're anxious to get your hands on these products, be sure to check out the release package info below.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hoppy Easter Gnomie

Hi friends, today I'm popping in to share a sweet little Easter gnome card featuring products from Jaded Blossom.

I absolutely love the tulip in the Gnome Dies: Easter Add Ons 2 set and had one leftover from a different card I made, so thought I'd add him to this sweet gnome I created with the bunny glasses from Easter Add ons 2.  The background is from the Clear Jar Spring Add Ons set. I stamped the bunny cluster, then created a mask, and used it to continue stamping a huge pile of bunnies.

I finished off with part of a sentiment from the Easter Tweetings set, then paired it with the gnomie die from the Hello Gnomie die set.

Alrighty, that's the skinny on the card. Life has been busy here, but I'm looking forward to next week's Jaded Blossom release. Sneak Peeks start on Monday!

You Crack Me Up

Hi friends! It's my day to share over on the Jaded Blossom Blog and I've got a little gnome card to tell you all about. Have you seen the new March release? The gnome die add ons are always a favorite, and the new Gnome Dies: Easter Add Ons 2 set is definitely a must have! Pair it with a fun stencil and you've got a super cute carrot patch dream.

I started this card with that cute carrot hat. Isn't it darling? I die cut from white cardstock, then colored with copic markers.  The Gnome Dies beard and hat were cut from a light gray cardstock and I used a white gel pen for accents.  I thought it would be fun to have my gnome incognito as a bunny, so added some eyes from the Gnome Dies: Chick Add Ons to the bunny nose mask. Then I added a carrot from the Build a Booth: Easter Add Ons in his other hand.  I used the Gnome Dies: Leg Add Ons for his pants and feet. He just cracks me up with his buck teeth and carrot top, so I decided to use  the sentiment from the Easter Tweetings set.

For the background I used the new Carrot Stencil set on white cardstock, then cut with one of the curved stitch dies from the Border Dies 2 set. I matted with a scallop from the same set, then added to a panel of light green cardstock and used the Card Mat Dies for a finished edge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative day.

Jaded Blossom March Release Sneak Peeks Day 3

Hi friends! It's the final day of sneaky peeks for the March Jaded Blossom release. That means release day is almost here! Yay! Today we're sneaking peeks at the new Tulips, Tulips Outline Dies, and the Chubby Bunny Die FREEBIE. This freebie is only available if you make a $60 purchase that includes at least one new release product. The offer is good Thursday and Friday only, while supplies last. So if you want this sweet little chubby bunny that I'm peeking today, now is the time think about what you want from the new release! Here's a little peek at the products being revealed today.

The multi step tulip set is absolutely beautiful and I'll be sharing a card with it later in the week, but today is all about this sweet little chubby bunny. My first project are some little treat bags for my boys. When they were small we dressed Kellan in blue and Trevor in green to make it easy for people to tell them apart. At around 2 year old, Trevor decided he wanted nothing more to do with green and usurped the color blue. To this day 11 years later, when we get things that are the same Trevor is blue and Kellan is green. So when I saw a bag of just blue and green Hershey eggs I decided to dress up the chubby bunny in blue and green for their Easter baskets.

Along with the Chubby Bunny Die, I borrowed an egg from the Build a Booth: Easter Add Ons for the eggs, then made a topper with the Fancy Topper Die. The sentiment is from the Follow the Easter Bunny set. It's currently sold out, but if you want it be sure to sign up for notifications, that is how they gauge what to reorder.

My second project for today is a little wrapper for some Peeps candies. While I don't like these at all I know a couple little girls that will eat anything with sugar in it! And bonus points if it's pink! LOL  I noticed the chubby bunny was the perfect size for the candies stamps Jaded Blossom has, so I pulled out the previously released Easter Candies *Grid Style* and stamped the hangin' with my peeps sentiment.

Here are directions to make the holder. These dimensions are for the smaller 4 count packages of Peeps from the Dollar Tree.
  • Score a 2.5" x 8.5" piece of cardstock on the long side at 1, 4, 5, and 8 inches
  • Burnish folds and apply adhesive to the 1/2" end
  • Wrap cardstock around the package and adhere under the fold of one of the sides
  • Mat with designer paper
    • 2 pieces 2.25" x 2.75" for front and back
    • 2 pieces 2.25" x 0.75" for the sides
  • Tie with bakers twine and embellish with die cuts or stamped images
