Jaded Blossom December Release Blog Hop

For my project today, I decided to make a little hot cocoa booth treat box I created the base booth with the Build a Booth Die, then added the Build a Booth: Treat Box Add Ons behind to carry my treats.

The banner and candy cane hearts are from the Build a Booth: Hot Cocoa Add Ons. I colored the marshmallows lightly with Copic markers, then glued everything together. The sentiment is from the Hot Cocoa Season stamp set embossed in white on red cardstock, and then cut with the coordinating Outline Dies.

I filled the box with a hot cocoa packet, chocolate stirring spoon, a chocolate and peppermint topped marshmallow and a couple candy canes. Now it's totally ready for gift giving.

Jaded Blossom Dec 2023 Release Day 3

Hi friends ! It's Day 3 of sneak peeks for the final Jaded Blossom Release of 2023! This release features two fabulous themes... hot cocoa and winter wonderland. Come hang with us each day this week leading up to the release on Thursday, December 14 for tons of inspiration featuring the new products!

Today we're shining our spotlights on the new Build a Booth: Winter Add Ons, Pinecone Stencil. and the Freebie with qualified purchase, Gnome Dies: Ice Skates Add On.

For my card, I went with a winter wonderland scene, combining the Build a Booth: Winter Add Ons with the . My background is ink blended with speckled egg, stormy sky, and faded jeans distress oxides. After blending, I splattered with water, and then with a white bleedproof ink, for a snowy look.  I die cut the pieces for the pinecone banner and the icicles and snow mounds from white cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  For the snowy I used a BG000 and blender pen, then accented with a bit of Frozen Flurry Pops of Color.

My booth is made with some Craft Consortium wood papers, and I embossed the Winter Wonderland sentiment from Hot Cocoa Bar in silver directly onto the top board.  I pulled out the Gnome Dies: Sign Add On for a similar treatment, embossing the open all winter. The pinecones are accented with some cinnamon liquid pearls.

Jaded Blossom December 2023 Release Day 2

Today we're shining our spotlights on the new Build a Booth: Hot Cocoa Add Ons and Hot Cocoa Bar stamp set. My boys love to go tubing in the winter and my favorite part is heading to the yurt to warm up with a cup of hot cocoa! So for my card today my little gnomie is manning the hot cocoa booth hillside.

I decked out my gnome with a hat and hot cocoa mug from yesterday's featured Gnome Dies: Hot Cocoa Add Ons. Most pieces are cut from colored cardstock or the P13 Skin Tones paper, except I did color the mug with Copics. A little glossy accents and some frosted lace stickles make things sparkle.

For the booth, I assembled the cup banner, sponging each of the cups with red ink to quickly color them, then added a bit of white opal liquid pearls for the whip cream.  The booth sign is embossed with one of the sentiments from the Hot Cocoa Bar set in white. I added a little Doodlebug heart sticker between the hot and cocoa and popped the sign up on dimensionals.  The background paper is from the Santa's Workshop Collection from Echo Park and I finished things off with some red matting on a 5x7" card base.

Hi friends! Happy Monday! It's the start of sneak peeks for the final 2023 Jaded Blossom Release. This one covers two fabulous themes... hot cocoa and winter wonderland. Come hang with us each day this week leading up to the release on Thursday, December 14 for tons of inspiration featuring the new products!

I've been pretty sick the last couple of weeks, so now I'm in full time make up mode to get my Christmas projects ready in time for gift giving. Today I'm sharing two little ornaments I made with the new Gnome Dies: Hot Cocoa set. Isn't that snowman mug the absolute cutest?

I started with the original Gnome Dies, coloring up all white pieces (except the shoes) with Copic markers and assembling together with that fantastic mug of hot cocoa from the new add ons. I glued him onto one of the Gnome MDF Ornaments, then finished off with a silver bow and a couple of jingle bells as a topper.

I realized that while I love all the coloring detail, I'm never going to get through all the ornaments I plan to make if I color everything. So for my second gnome I cut pieces from colored cardstock to hurry things along. The only pieces I colored were the scarf and carrot nose, and then added just a hint of shading to the gnome nose. I added a few polka dots to the scarf with a white gel pen, then accented the snowman eyes and mouth with a black glaze pen. I finished off with a seam binding bow and a few more jingle bells. Much faster, and still just as cute!

Reindeer Kisses

Hi friends! Happy Friday! It's been a little bit since my last post. I've been feeling a bit under the weather, so crafting has taking a bit of a back seat. I did finally feel up to editing photos of a couple cards I made before I got sick.  Today I'm sharing a cute little card using the Cozy Mugs Die Set and the Reindeer Kisses stamp set.

I started by cutting the mug from patterned paper and the whip cream, holly, peppermints and snowflake from white cardstock. I colored with alcohol markers and assembled together. Next I pulled out the darling Reindeer Kisses set and colored up the little reindeer. I thought he would look super cute peeking out from the cup. 

The background papers are from the Christmas Critters Basics Paper Pad.  I finished with a sentiment on a label die and a sprinkling of Sparkle Enamel Dots.

Gingerbread House Shaker

Hi friends! It's the first Sunday of a new month and that means it's time to reveal a new challenge on the Jaded Blossom blog. This month the challenge is to add a touch of gold. I hope you can play along!

November Challenge:

When the Build a Booth Gingerbread House Add Ons released, I really wanted to make a pastel version. I remember Christmases past at my grandmother's with pastel pinks, greens, and golds. So when I saw this month's challenge, I decided it was a sign to create a pastel version. I cut my pieces from white cardstock and gold matte cardstock, then sponged a light pink ink on the pink pieces. I pulled out my hot foil machine and added some gold foil to the roof and chimney pieces. It isn't super noticeable, but it does add a little shine and helps to accentuate the scored details.

As I was building my booth, I decided it would make a fun shaker card, so added some acetate behind the opening and built my shaker with a bit of patterned paper and some Prima patterned paper. I then added some Christmas lights from the Build a Booth: Christmas Add Ons set to deck out the roofline. I liked my finished house so much, I wanted it to be the center of attention, so decided to make it a shaped card.  I trimmed off the excess of the booth so just the roof line of the house showed, then created a folded card the size of the back of the booth to finish things off.
