Sneaky Peek Week Day 1 + TCP Tuesday Reminder

Hi friends! It's the beginning of Sneaky Peek Week at The Cat's Pajamas. Today's sneaky peek is combined with a little reminder about the current TCP Tuesday challenge.

Each day over the next week, the Cat Pack will be peeking projects with the new goodies. Once a product is peeked, it will be available for purchase on the website! Which means there's no waiting if you see something you just have to have! Hooray! Head on over to The Cat's Pajamas Blog to see the official list of today's peekers and then leave some comments on their blogs for a chance to win some Cat Cash!

My first card today combines the Hey Boo stamp set being peeked today with the Layer Up TCP Tuesday challenge. My layers for this card are ink layers. After all, layers are a background's best friend!

I started my card by using a post-it note stencil and the Big Beautiful Blending Brush to blend some overlapping squares onto a piece of white cardstock in shaded lilac, wilted violet, and dusty concord. Next I used the same ink colors to ink up a rectangle shaped acrylic block, then spritzed and smooshed over the blended squares. Lots of layers of smooshing and spritzing and drying in between left me with a super fun backdrop for the super fun image I chose to color for today.

I colored her with Copic markers and then fussy cut. There are free downloadable cutting files, but I was in the zone and didn't want to go downstairs!  I stamped the Hey Boo title sentiment in black, then accented with a white gel pen and finished off with some silver saucer holeless sequins.

The other product being peeked today is the beautiful Birch Snowglobe Die. While I have lots of winter ideas for this fabulous new die, I took a Halloween approach to it for today's card, combining it with the Hey Boo set and a new stencil.

I started with the Birch Snowglobe, cutting it from pebble cardstock, then taping off the outer edges and painting with white metallic glimmer ink.  I then cut the die from a black foam sheet to layer behind and add dimension.  Next I separated the outer frame die and cut it for the backing, stenciling the bats using The Neighborhood Stencilz in first unicorn pigment ink and then black soot distress ink. I loved the look, but didn't think it showed up quite enough, so decided to continue the same effect on the background panel, substituting white glimmer ink for the pigment ink. Withe the black distress ink over it it gives a nice pewtere shine.

Next I stamped the little witch fishing for stars image and colored with Copics, fussy cutting to layer over the snowglobe.  I then used stars I cut with the Star Rosette CutUps to scatter throughout the card. I painted each one with gold glimmer metallic ink. I LOVE the shine, although I wasn't truly able to caputer it in the photograph. I then chose the Liners CutUps for my sentiment strip because I thought it might look like the accent on a witch's hat. I painted this with gold glimmer ink and finished with the shine like the stars sentiment from One Liners. My finished card is 5.25" square

Thanks so much for stopping by today! We hope you'll play along in our challenge. And don't forget to pop over to the TCP Blog today for links to today's peekers. Leave some love on their blogs and/or Instagram accounts for a chance to win.
