November Keeping Christmas Blog Hop

Hi friends! It's the 25th of the month, and that means it's time for the final Keeping Christmas Blog Hop of the year. Come hop along with my crafty friends as we share our Christmas makes for this month.

If you're just popping in, the hop starts over at Kelly's blog. If you came from Claire Broadwater's blog, then you're right on track! 😊

For my card, I was feeling the watercolor bug, so pulled out the gorgeous Poinsettia Greetings stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and some watercolors from Shimmerz Paints. The poinsettia image is embossed in white on a large panel of watercolor paper. I then colored the poinsettia with Great Fruit, the greenery with Emerald City and did a wash around the image with Ride the Tide. I love how soft these colors are.

Next I got out a Cut-Align ruler and pen knife to help me cut the panel down to card front size without cutting off the petals or leaves. This large stamped image is larger than a card front and I love the way it just kind of sprawls off the edges.

Once the panel was cut, I added the stamped sentiment, masking off the happy and the s from Happy Holidays and adding cheer below.  Then I used the stamps to mask off my stamped images and splattered some Well Blue Me Down and some Snow Storm splatters around the edges.

A black mat sets it off and helps ground the sentiment a bit.  I embellished with some holeless sequins, a few pearls and a bit of sheer ribbon to finish things off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
