There are three new stamp sets and four dies in the October release. That beautiful Country Houses die I used earlier this week is available to order, OR you can get it for FREE with a $65 purchase (plus free US shipping on orders over $65)! Now that's a bargain. The Country Houses dies are still making their way from Poppy Stamps, but once they arrive, TCP will ship the dies FREE of charge. It's a beauty, so you're going to want to have one!
Alright, on with my cards for today. First I'm sharing this sweet little card with astronaut PJ from Cosmic Christmas carrying his sack of holiday goodies. The background was made from picking up the distress oxide inks left on my palette after creating the galaxy background for my Sneaky Peek post. Some of my favorite backgrounds come from the clean-up process! 😃
I knew I wanted to use it with PJ, so colored him with Copics and fussy cut. I then embossed the follow the star sentiment in silver directly on the card front. I finished up with some stars cut from glitter paper using the previously released. Stars CutUps.
Next up for the release was the North Pole or Bust set. I chose to color Poochie and his scooter filled with presents in Copic markers. For old time's sake I added a doodled frame around this panel - one of the accents I used a lot on my early cards for TCP. The adorable papers are from the Freezin' Season collection by Simple Stories. I think this line of papers just perfectly matches the retro feel of this fun stamp set.
For embellishment, I added a shimmery snowflake cut with the 5 Snowflakes Dies and accented with a touch of bling. The 'Tis the Season sentiment was masked in order to stamp it on a single line and popped up on foam tape for some dimension.
The third set releasing today is Gnome for the Holidays. I puffy heart this adorable little gnome and just had to add a few puffy heart stickers to my card! He's colored with Copics, fussy cut and accented with a bit of stickles. I made a little rosette using the previously released Easy Rosette CutUps for him to float from, t hen layered a few patterned paper primitive heart die cuts behind him. The sentiment is stamped onto the banner in the Easy Rosette CutUps, and I finished off with some seam binding and a couple shimmery jingle bells.
Thanks so much for hopping along today! I've so enjoyed this little trip down memory lane as a guest for TCP. Be sure and check out all the paper magic the Cat Pack is sharing today.
Next up on the hop is the fabulous Brenda.
