Sneaky Peekin' with the Cat Pack

Hi friends! I'm so excited to join in Sneaky Peek Week festivities as a guest for The Cat's Pajama's new release next Tuesday, 10/30! TCP was my first design team ever and Alma and her stamps have always held a very special place in my heart. I was so delighted to see a few of my favorite characters (Sprinkle.. Poochie, PJ... the penguins!) making an appearance in this release as well! Such a fabulous trip down memory lane for me. The team is sneaking a peek at the new release all week long over on the TCP Blog, so head on over there for a chance to win something swanky!

For my first card, I had to start with Sprinkle, as this cool cat is what attracted me to TCP all those years ago. I thought the sentiment All hearts come home for Christmas was perfect for this occasion, so got right to work with the North Pole or Bust set. The adorable Freezin' Season collection by Simple Stories seemed to have just the right amount of swagger for this hip cat and her tree toting ride. I stamped with memento ink and then colored with Copic markers, accenting the tree with some pink liquid pearls. Then I added a little sponging around the image as well as around the sentiment circle with tattered rose and abandoned coral distress inks. A few stars stamped in tattered rose accent the sentiment circle, then I accented with snowflakes cut with the beautiful new 5 Snowflake Dies cut from super sparkly glitter paper. I also added a little border down below with one of my all time favorite dies, the Icing CutUps. I finished with a bit of bling on the snowflake centers.

For my next card, I turned to the adorable Cosmic Christmas set. PJ the Bear steals my heart every time, and he's up to some starry shenanigans in this set. This set was just screaming for a galaxy background, and I was more than happy to pull out a menagerie of distress oxides to make that happen. I blended varying blues, purples and black on smooth bristol paper, then splattered on some white paint.  A circle of vellum becomes a moon and I stamped, colored and fussy cut PJ to have him flying down. A silver bow with jingle bells and some silver cording finishes things off.

The third set in the October release is called Gnome for the Holidays. It's probably no surprise that I was drawn to the little fella with the hot beverage first! He's super cute and seemed to be so joyful holding his cuppa, so I decided to pop him behind a flurry of snowflakes using the 5 Snowflakes Die and the Snowflake Border Die. He's all colored up with Arteza real brush markers, then fussy cut and accented with a sweet little pompom for his hat. I used the new J*Y Die cut from glitter paper as the sentiment and finished off with some ribbon and jingle bells. I'm a little hooked on this as an embellishment right now, so be prepared for me to rock a whole lot of jingle bells this season!

Well, that's all for now. Be sure to follow along over on The Cat's Pajamas Blog all week long, as there are daily prizes to be won and a whole lot of eye candy to take in!  And tune in here on my blog later this week for another sneaky peek.
