I started with Canson watercolor paper and decided to do a watercolor background with some Shimmerz sprays in palm reader, bamboo leaf, and a bit of green acres creameez. I did several layers until I was happy with the results, then set it aside to do my stamping.
I selected this fabulous typewrite image from the Tim Holtz Vintage Things Mini Blueprint Strip stamp set and stamped with Nocturne VersaClair ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then watercolored with the same inks I had used for my background. This panel is matted on black and popped up with foam tape.
The sentiment is from the Special Delivery Remnant Rubs, I love how crisp these rub ons transfer. I wanted a little something behind the stamped image, so rummaged through my metal drawer and found this shiny silver filigree photo corner. I wanted it to be a bit darker, so dry brushed it with black Heavy Gesso and then accented with some brushed iron wax paste. It transformed it into just the right color.
I finished off with a sweet little die cut bow. I jsut adore this little bow die from Pink & Main. The perfect size for cardmaking and oh, so sweet. I finished it off with a little enamel dot center and a strip of coordinating glitzy black paper for a ribbon like effect.
