Lovefest Mojo Enjoy

Hi friends!  Welcome to the start of another week!  It's round or square week over at Mojo Monday and this week's sketch was designed by me.  It's based on this card I made a little while back...

I loved the clean lines that make it good for a masculine card, but I also could see the possibility for dressing it up a bit more to make a girly card.

For today's sample, I went with the frills  to test out the new Surely Goodness set and coordinating Goodness Flowers Die Set.  I also played along with Verve's In Love with Color Lovefest challenge.  You have until February 28 to play along in the Lovefest challenges, so be sure to check it out if you haven't already!

The papers are from the Take Note Collection by Studio Calico.  I sponged around the pink layer with Groovy Guava to give it a little depth.  The flowers from Surely Goodness are stamped in Pool Party on white cardstock, cut out with the Goodness Flowers Die Set, then colored with aquarelle pencils and a waterbrush.  I layered them on dimensionals and then added a bit of Stardust Stickles to every other petal and finished off with a flower gem sticker that's been in my stash forever for the flower center.

The woodgrain paper pieces are cut using the new Flag It Die Set and I hand cut early espresso mats for them, then stamped the enjoy sentiment from Surely Goodness on the bracket tab.  The little border peeking out on the left side is cut with the new Scalloped Trim Trio Die Set and I accented with a little string bling on either side.  I think the one rounded corner helped to soften up the layout a bit for a feminine feel.  My finished card size if 4.25" square.

Well, that's all for me today!  I'll be in the shipping office packaging new release orders the rest of the day.  I hope you have a fantastic start to your week.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
