Alright, let's get to my makes. One of my favorite things to give at Christmas time is handmade ornaments, so as soon as I saw the Build a Wreath Die I knew I would have to make an ornament!
I began cutting several of each of the wreath die pieces from white card stock. I sponged everything with varying green and brown inks (except the bow, which I colored with alcohol markers). All of the berry pieces I coated with glossy accents, then sprinkled with glitter and set aside to dry. I assembled everything together with liquid glue.
For the base circle frame I cut it several times from light chipboard and once from fun foam in order to create a little thickness for a shaker. I added a die cut circle of acetate to the back of my wreath, then layered up the chipboard and foam frame and glued to the back of the wreath.
Next I die cut a circle of white cardstock big enough to cover the back of the frame and stamped the all is calm sentiment from the previously released Christmas Blessings stamp set in the center. I added some shaker bits, then glued together to form the shaker. For the ornament tab I used the fold over tab piece from the Luggage Tag Dies. I cut it from both chipboard and gold foil to give it some weight, then glued together to the back of my ornament. I finished with a circle of solid cardstock on the back so I can write a little message.
For my second make today, I created another wreath to put on a card, this time cutting the pieces from cardstock before layering together. For the base of my card I used the new Holly Berries Stencil on a light green cardstock. I cut the panel with the Scallop Square Dies, then layered a Stitched Square Die cut from vellum over it to soften the look. The sentiment is from the same Christmas Blessings set I used on the ornament. This time I embossed it in green on vellum, then cut with the Christmas Blessings Outline Dies. I layered several pieces of vellum to give it a little heft to help it lay across the wreath. I finished off with some Frosted Lace stickles on the pine cones.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderfully creative day. I'll see you back here tomorrow for more sneaky peek fun!

these are two beautiful projects Julee - loving the wreath shaker ornament, and all the texture on both that wreath, and the one on the card, is fabulous
