Mixed Media Fun

Hey friends! Today I'm popping in with a little card I made just for fun yesterday. I wanted to get a little messy, so pulled out some watercolor markers, molding paste, and had a bit of fun.

I started out with the Spring Collage Tag, stamping in Acorn Versafine Ink and then watercoloring with Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I've kind of been on a watercolor kick lately.  I hand cut the tag when I was finished coloring, then inked the edges with gathered twigs and added some twill and twine to the topper, fraying the ends of the twill.

The layer behind this started smooshed on watercolor from my pick up sheet. Next I added a bit of random light stamping with white ink and brown ink and the Script Background. I then added some light molding paste through a scrap of punchinella. Once it dried I pulled out some broken china, peacock feathers, salvaged patina, and vintage photo distress spray stains and dripped them down, and misted over the panel.  I then inked the edges with gathered twigs distress ink.

The back panel is embossed with the Vintage Script embossing folder and then I lightly rubbed a white ink pad over the top to highlight the embossing. Next, I layered up my pieces and glued a thin piece of twill across the edge.

The hugs & prayers is from the Tag & More die set, and I cut the pieces with the Spring Collage Tag Die,  set, adding a couple of teeny tiny brads to each hole on the label.  I finished things off with a little glossy glaze and an enamel dot for the flower center.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative day!
