For today's card, I have a sneaky peek at one of the add-on dies releasing later today (10AM Pacific) from Hero Arts. I love their line of months of the year word dies and the October one is spooky cool! For this card, I cut the October Word Fancy Die from pitch black cardstock a few times and layered together for thickness.
I then die cut a circle and ink blended with squeezed lemonade, mustard seed and hickory smoke, spraying over a portion of the circle with hickory smoke spray oxide for some depth and shading. I then chose some papers from the Sweet & Spooky Collection from Bella Blvd. for my sketch pieces, sponging the edge of the panels with black soot ink, then matting with black cardstock. I did go rogue from the sketch and skewed my vertical panel to cover up a design on the paper I didn't want to show through. The sentiment is from the Pure Magic set and I cut it into a thin banner shape. I then cut the October Word Fancy Die one last time and cut out the web and the spider, adding them up in the corner, hanging the spider from some silver thread. I finished with some silver stardust gel pen accents on the webs.
Alrighty, now it's your turn! I hope you enjoy creating with this sketch! Thanks so much for stopping by!
