Hey Gnomies

Hi friends! Today I'm popping in to share a couple of cards I created with the adorable Christmas Gnomes set from Sweet 'n Sassy.  I love these sweet little illustrations and (spoiler alert!) there just might be a new set of these little friends coming to play in the shop in October! Squee!

This little candy cane bearing gnome seemed like he needed one of my favorite combos... aqua and red.  I colored him up with copics, hand trimmed, then picked some coordinating papers from my mountain of Christmas papers.  I think this was an old Bella Blvd. collection.  I matted with midnight cardstock, and then embossed the sentiment from Holiday Greetings in white.  For a little interest, I used a striped embossing folder to create the diagonal lines and finished with a little stickles on the dots of his cap.

Next up is this adorable gnome all tangled up in lights. I am so glad we have a pre-lit tree. One, because I'm allergic to most evergreens, but also because the lights were always in such a tangle!  I love the plug and go of our tree now.

I colored him up in traditional Christmas colors, adding a bit of sponging around the edges with antique linen for an aged look.  I chose some 49 and Market paper for the background, then stamped another sentiment from Holiday Greetings on the sentiment strip.  I then stamped the lines from Texture Tiles 3 on either side of the sentiment to coordinate with the texture on the patterned paper I used.

Finally, I colored up this sweet little gnome donning the star on the tree.  I love how he's up on his tippy toes!

I played around with papers and layout, adding a little scalloped border to the side and adding the 'Tis the Season sentiment as a banner.  A bit of gold ribbon and a snowflake embossed card base finish things off.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you've enjoyed these gnome creations! Have a fantastic day!
