When I saw this pumpkin image from the With a Thankful Heart set, I knew immediately that I wanted to color it in aquas. I stamped it and the coordinating flower image in midnight ink and then colored with Copics before cutting out with the coordinating confetti cuts.
I layered the two die cuts together, then accented with some iridescent rhinestones for the flower centers. The black strip of patterned paper is from the new This & That 6 x 6 paper pad. For the sentiment, I used one of the gorgeous new stamps in the Sentiementally Yours set. I embossed it in white on black cardstock, then cut at an angle for a fun little sentiment strip.
Next I pulled out the Halloween Gnomes set and stamped and colored all the images in the set. Football season means I get lots more time to color while watching televised games with my boys. 😀 I couldn't help but create this little fright night scene with a few of the images I cut with the coordinating dies, using the Pierced Round Top Layers die as a backdrop.
I added a bit of silver thread to hang the spider from the tree branch, then added the sentiment embossed in white on midnight cardstock. The patterned paper is from This & That.
While I had the images out, I started on another card using the Halloween Gnomes set. This time I decided to have the witch gnome peeking out from the See Through Tag Confetti Cuts.
I cut the tag from Stone cardstock and then layered a piece of Sunshine cardstock behind it, using the die as a stencil to sponge a little spiced marmalade distress ink for a moon glow. I tucked in the spider web, and then added the sentiment along the diagonal stitch lines. A bit of polka dot ribbon accents the tag and I added a midnight mat to make it pop. I finished off with more This & That paper and a stone card base.
For my final card for today, I pulled out the adorable new Joyous Holiday set. I love the sweet angels in this set and once again had a fun time coloring with Copics. Here I used the wreath and angel image, then stamped the star image several times onto a Double Scallop Border die cut.
The middle panel is white cardstock sponged with squeezed lemonade distress oxide and matted with the thinner side of the double scallop die cut. I then embossed this with a snowflake embossing folder and popped up on a foam sheet. I added the sweet little angel and wreath images, then stamped the sentiment onto a banner and layered over the wreath. The background panel is Salsa cardstock embossed with a Christmas embossing folder.
Your next stop on the hop is the fabulous Kathy Schweinfurth.
