Sweet 'n Sassy Valentines

Hi friends! Happy Fri-YAY! I've almost survived winter break and am definitely looking forward to getting back on a routine and having some "me" time next week. Of course all this boy time has coincided with DT deadlines for three stamp releases, so I feel a little under the gun trying to shuffle all the things right now. I'm so ready for a quiet cup of coffee and some time to craft the day away with no interruptions come Monday. But first, I wanted to pop in and share a card I made with the brand new Sweet 'n Sassy January release.

I am head over heels for the hearts in this month's incentive set. If you place an order over $75, you'll get the Filigree Hearts set free when your order ships. As my boys would say, "hot dog!" 😂 For this card I paired those sweet little hearts with the oh-so-pretty new Happy Alpha set. I love how this alpha has some common words, like the for I used here, already assembled.

The paper is from an older discontinued Echo Park collection (last time I was in, my local Tuesday Morning still had some though) and I added a bit of washi tape for interest. The hearts are painted with shimmerz sprays and paints. I just love that sparkle! I finished off this easy card with some simple black mats to make the layers pop.

I made this second card with more of the hearts from the Filigree Hearts set, also painted with Shimmerz and fussy cut. The sentiment is a sticker from the paper pack and I accented it with a strip of rhinestone stars from my stash and then added a black cardstock trim cut with the Decorative Edge Fancy die from Hero Arts.
