Reverse Confetti January New Release Hop

Hi friends! I'm so excited to be joining in the new release celebration with the Reverse Confetti Crew and Friends today. This release is filled with a fabulous mix of heartwarming images and sentiments. So sweet and adorable, you'll want them all!
Today I'm sharing three delightful sets and coordinating confetti cuts from the new release. These sets are simply adorable and I had so much fun creating with them! If you've already been hopping along, then you probably just swooned over Melissa's post. From here, you'll head on over to Amy Sheffer's post for her amazing creation. If a link misbehaves, the full hop list is at the bottom of this post.

Those of you who know me know I'm a coffee lover through and through, so the first set I had to play with is the adorable Big Bear set. He was just itching to hold that darling little coffee mug, (and have a few spares to share). The coordinating Big Bear Confetti Cuts is totally genius and cuts out just a bit of those sweet little paws so you could easily just tuck a coffee cup or any of the other objects from the set under there and go about your day feeling like a super accomplished stamper. I however didn't notice those little paw cuts until after I'd done some masking and coloring and was getting ready to cut the completed image out. 👎 I did notice in time to elect not to run the die through completely, though, so all was not lost. 👍  I just die cut up to the paws on either side and trimmed the excess for a full cut without the inner paw cuts. Lesson: always look at your die cuts before starting on a bunch of needless steps. Or just read blog posts from people like me who frequently find things out the hard way. 😄

After I was done with my bear, I decided on my sentiment, splitting it to two lines to fit in a circle die. The fabulous new From Cupid paper pad has such fun colors and patterns that I picked a few to use for my layout, matting with lead cardstock. I then stamped, colored and die cut four more coffee cups to accent and finished off with a few die cut hearts from the patterned paper.

Learning my lesson, I had to give another go at Big Bear, making use of those clever little paw cuts. My favorite sentiment in this set is I'm pulling for you. Such a sweet way to send a little pick-me-up, don't ya think?  I stamped and colored big bear and little bear in his wagon, then die cut with the coordinating Big Bear Confetti Cuts.  I stamped, colored and die cut a few hearts from the set to match, then layered papers from the From Cupid paper pad to finish this sweet little card off.

Aren't the papers in the From Cupid paper pad fabulous? I can't get enough of them! When working with a new paper pad, I usually find it helpful to make a little Copic color map. I then keep it with the paper pad so I don't have to think about color combos every time I pull it out. Makes life simpler.  Here's the map I created for the fabulous From Cupid paper pad.

Next up I pulled out the ridiculously cute Heart Pals set. My cat, Moka, was right in the middle of things during this crafting session, so I reached for the kitty with heart balloons image to stamp, color and cut with the coordinating Heart Pals Confetti Cuts.

I figured she'd be super cute with a little friend, so colored him up, too. I layered a few papers from the paper pad as a backdrop for them and had to sneak in that sweet little coffee mug from the Big Bear set next to kitty.  The would you be mine sentiment is embossed in white on lead cardstock and I added the sweet little heart duo from the set as an accent.

The final set I'm featuring today is the beautiful Happy Bee Day set and coordinating Confetti Cuts. That little honey stirrer brought back sweet memories of summer mornings from my childhood. I don't know why it became a thing, but I used to love to snack on saltine crackers with peanut butter and a drizzle of honey. Haven't thought of that in years! 😀

Anyhow, I stamped, colored and cut all the elements for the card, then decided how I wanted them layered. For the honeycomb background I used a Tim Holtz mixed media die, cut from sand cardstock and backed it with some Cue the Confetti paper.  The sentiment is embossed on sand cardstock and I added some old chevron rhinestones from my stash to make it pop. Finished off with a few fluttering bees.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I had so much fun sharing these projects with you. Guess what? There is still so much more inspiration to be found along this hop! Be sure and check out each of these talented artists for their creations with this fabulous new release.
