My Cup Runneth Over

Hi friends! I'm popping in today to share one of the cards I made for the Dare to Get Dirty challenges over on Splitcoast. I haven't felt much like creating lately, but reading the challenges on Saturday got me in the mood to stamp. The challenges are going all week long for fan club members and there are lots of fabulous prizes being giving away, including some Verve gift vouchers.

For my birthday, I ordered some Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay India inks. These have been on my wishlist for a couple years and now that I've used them I wish I hadn't waited so long! {grin} Loved doing a little dripping across the top with the teal, grass green and white. They're fabulous because they react with water, but once they dry they're permanent and you can build up some lovely layers. All those lovely drips made me think of the my cup runneth over sentiment, so I pulled out the new Always Time set. I love this sentiment and think it's just perfect for a thank you card.

I stamped the kettle in early espresso ink, thinking I'd emboss it, but then forgot to emboss it before I started watercoloring with the india inks.  So my image bled a bit, but I think it adds to the rustic look of the kettle. I also fussy cut the kettle to hide some of those bleeding edges. Finished off with a taffeta bow and some early espresso speckles on the kettle.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope your cup runs over in a good way today! {grin}
