Starry Card, Sick Boys and Valentine Wishes

Hi friends!  Happy Heart Day!  It's been a while, hasn't it?  I've been desperately wanting to get inky... BUT these two little munchkins have been sick and I've had my hands full.  It's so sad to see them struggling to breathe. Trevor's had the worst of it and you can definitely tell his weight is down when you see him next to Kellan.  Hard to believe they're already 11 months old and I'm in the midst of planning their first birthday party!

I did make a birthday card last weekend for my dad (who's a Valentine's Day baby).  We celebrated his and Mark's birthday (which is tomorrow) on Sunday.  I was trying to go for clean & simple, but somehow that mixed media grunge just wormed its way in and I had to keep going with it.  :)   Not sure if my dad appreciated the grunge or not, but there wasn't time to make another and my birthday card stash is seriously depleted!

The stamps are all from the Borderline set and I used the coordinating Mini Classy Label die set and added some wood veneer stars, Hemptique thread and a bunch of distressing.  Papers are from the Scoot line by Echo Park.

Oh and before I forget.. there's some exciting news over on the Verve blog today!  So go check it out!  Hope you have a fantastic Valentine's Day!

Enabler's List
Stamps: Borderline (Verve Stamps)
Paper: brown paper bag, Scoot (Echo Park), ruled index card, black cardstock
Ink: Vintage Photo, Black Soot (Ranger Distress), Copic marker
Accessories:  Mini Classy Label Die Set (A Cut Above by VERVE), paper crimper (Fiskars), mini library clip (SU!), twine (Hemptique), gesso, wood veneer stars (Studio Calico), paper distresser (Tonic)

What a precious picture! They do look a little stuffed up poor little guys - give them a snuggle for me.

Love the card!!The wood stars are soo fun and the kraft base is so yummy and the colours pop off it wonderfully.

Hugest of birthday wishes (a day early) to Mr. Verve!!

Awww, those red rimmed eyes are such a giveaway to how they feel aren't they? I hope they are feeling a little better every hour, and that you can get some rest!

The card is awesome!!!
