Swirling Circle

Hi everyone!  Happy Tuesday!  Did y'all check out the awesome Verve cards on our after-party post yesterday?  If you did, you might have seen this little favorite of mine...

I recently got a Grand Cailibur die cut machine specifically so I could make some larger circle cards.  I really like making circle cards, but find the small canvas a little confining at times.  This card uses the smallest dies of the Grand Circles and Scallop Circles and the outer scallop is about 4.75" in diameter.  Just perfect to layer some heart nestabilities inside, cut with a little Be Mine paper from Echo park.  The be mine sentiment and the oval frame are from the Swirling Hearts set and I used the Vintage Oval die to cut it out, then added a 1.25" circle of basic gray cardstock in the center and layered the modern label punched sentiment over it.  I embellished with a chipboard heart, a couple fun buttons, some liquid pearls and a wrinkled ribbon bow.  Super fun!

Well, I haven't had a spare minute in what seems like a month and my to-do list is still a mile high so I better get to work.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope your day is fantabulous!

Enabler's List:
Stamps: Swirling Hearts (Verve)
Paper: Be Mine (Echo Park), Melon Mambo, Basic Gray (SU!)
Ink: Basic Gray, Melon Mambo (SU!)
Accessories: Vintage Oval Die (Verve), Circles and Scallop Circles Grand Nestabilities, Heart and Scallop Heart Nestabilities (Spellbinders), buttons, Sweet Talk Chipboard heart (MMBI), liquid pearls (Ranger), linen thread, Curlique & Hearts embossing folder (Sizzix), wrinkled ribbon

hmmm, how did I miss this lovely creation?!? I like circle cards, too, but haven't figured out how to cut them out with my cricut yet.
I really like the little hearts embossed on the white cs. TFS

I was wondering how you managed to get the nestie on that card and now I know. Fabulously done - enjoy your new toy :)

As an aside, I just hopped the line to the US mailbox (well piece of shelf space actually) and they have returned your letter - ugh!! All deliveries to this address have to be Priority or Express mail....have now fear though, I'll be ordering shortly and you can include it in that order (Xmas card too!) if you've got it back already. If it hasn't been returned yet, just forward the stamp it to my Canadian address. Sorry for all the inconvenience ((hugs))

This really is so special. Love the layers and awesome colors. Will need a part time job to get all the New Items available the past few days that my little heart thinks it needs..Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful as always Julee!

I love making round cards; BUT I always cut one of the scallops off when cutting so it stays together to unfold (does that make ANY sense)? How have you done yours, b/c I don't see that typical fold line??

Thanks for your help!!

I totally love this and am adding it to my CASE semifinals (haha, IOW, the short list of cards I'll probably try to copy for the big day to give to my loved ones). Now, if only mine would turn out that lovely! Great job :-)))
