The sketch for this card is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch for this week. I flipped it to be a vertical card and just played around with a couple sets that were sitting on my desk. First I laid out my papers. I cut the diamond pattern as a base and then cut the three rectangles of the cherry dots paper, rounded opposing corners on all of them, then pulled out the Janome and stitched a little border around the three cherry rectangles. So the red didn't get lost in the green, I lightly sanded all the edges, to have some of the white core of the DP show through. Next I pulled out the frame from Thankful Accents, stamped it in Wild Wasabi, then hand cut and inked with Vintage Photo ink. For the sentiment, I stamped the have a happy and birthday stamps from the Happy Days set in Cherry Cobbler, then matted the frame on a Marina Mist Blossoms die cut and inked up the edges. Next I stamped the hibiscus duo from Happy Days, colored with Copics, trimmed, then added a little glitter and diamond glaze mixture to make them super sparkly! My finishing accents were a couple strips of twill and a trio of pearls in the bottom corner.
Okay, that's all for this fine Thursday. I hope you have a fabulous day! Thanks for stopping by!
