Blog Hop Times Two

Hi friends!  It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to reveal our new inspiration challenge with our monthly Diva Inspirations Hop.  It also happens to be the start of the Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop and this month's challenge theme serendipitously works for both!  Verve is one of over 30 sponsors of prizes for the Coffee Lovers Hop, so it's the perfect excuse to spend the week surrounded by coffee, tea and cocoa stamps, don't ya think?

I took the June Eat Me. Drink Me. inspiration (posted below) pretty literally for my project on the Verve Blog today, but went my own way for this card.  It uses a brand new set that I had hoped to release already, but have had a few delays, so will be releasing on Friday June 19.  We've actually got 5 new sets releasing that day, so there will be some new Verve in the world soon!  This set is called Get Together and it pairs some new sentiments and images with familiar images that are resized to fit the Cup of Cheer Die Set, and also a couple striped versions of mugs to fit the Cuppa Tea Die Set.  And there's a chai sentiment stamp since hubby's been thinking I was discriminating against chai drinkers like him!  LOL

My layout is the Viva la Verve June Week 1 sketch I am hosting today (yep, a super busy day for me!).  I started by stamping the cup with leaves image on white cardstock and used some washi tape to mask things off while I sponged on squeezed lemon, then fossilized amber, then tumbled glass, swirling a bit over the leaves to make sure the yellow and blue blended to a fun green.  The summer time and the living is easy sentiment is stamped on a circle die cut, then sponged with a hexagon stencil with fossilized amber, and matted with black and then with a turquoise pinking circle.  I sponged the pale yellow doily with fossilized amber to match the yellows better, then layered it all together

The life is sweet banner is a wood chip from Evalicious, which I colored the white an black parts with stabilo pencils, then added some twine and a gold star sticker too.  The scattered stars and dots are from the Golden Glam Shaker Mix.

Our June challenge is Eat Me, Drink Me

Are you fueled by coffee, tea or cocoa? Find cupcakes irresistible? Create a card featuring an edible treat or favored beverage!  Use the inspiration graphic as a starting point, or head off in your own direction - just leave us needing a fix of your favorite indulgence!
