Thinking a Latte

Okay, how did it get to be May already? Seems like yesterday it was February. LOL With May comes the 2022 Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, which is a traditional blog hop with all of the Super Sponsors posting their own prizes along the hop. Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is a super sponsor, so I decided to whip up a few little summer vibe coffee creations with my Latte Love  stamp set and coordinating dies.

I started by coloring several of the Latte Love images with Copic markers. As I was browsing at Michael's the other day, I saw a line of decor that was a dusty turquoise, dark red, and yellow, and made a note to myself to play with those colors a bit.  After everything was colored, I die cut the images and set aside.

The background for the card is a panel I created during the Distress Techniques: Sprays & Mediums class last weekend. I still haven't finished the class, though. Our dishwasher decided to malfunction, leading to water damage to our hardwood floors, so we've had industrial blowers and dehumidifiers going at what seems like 1 million decibels in our house 24/7 since Saturday. I can't wait for it to be over, so I can hear again. Anyhow, I used the Grunge Grid Stencil with peacock feathers, salvaged patina, and speckled egg distress sprays for the background.  I cut it down, then layered my collage of elements and embossed the sentiment in white directly on my stenciled background.

Next up, I've been wanting to make a treat bag with this sentiment and some chocolate covered espresso beans, and I finally was able to get some at my local coffee shop (they've been out of stock for a while).  I cut the sentiment with a circle die and matted with a large scalloped circle.  The treat topper is from a die from Jaded Blossom. I added a bit of Diamond Tile stenciling yellow on yellow for texture on the yellow layer, then packaged everything up and added my die cut images to finish things off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to head on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog for a chance to win a prize, then hop along to all of the other sponsor blogs!

Super projects! Your background turned out great! That is fun that you drew inspiration from colors you saw in the store.
