Foxy Shaker Ornament

Hi friends! You've been seeing a lot of me lately! I got on a roll with creating and got behind on photography, which meant a big lapse, then a ton of projects to share! Today I have a card and a little DIY shaker ornament to share with you.

First up is this foxy little card featuring images from the adorable Warm Winter Friends set. Isn't he cute all bundled up with socks and a scarf?  I added some of the gifts and flower accessories from the set to make a little focal collage, cutting everything with the coordinating dies. I added this to a circle I stenciled with the Vintage Doily Stencil and then added the Merry Christmas sentiment.

I used a couple of patterns of Echo Park paper for my simple layout, then added both of the borders from the Scallop Border Die Set.

Next up, I used scraps of that same designer paper for the back portion of my ornament shaker.  It is cut with the newly re-released Christmas Ornament Tag Die Set.  I paired it with a shaker die from my stash and taped them together to cut just an ornament frame several times to layer up for dimension.  I glued one of these frames over the shaker cup, added the sequins and then glued everything together.

The ornament topper and joy word were die cut from gold cardstock.  I used the Peace & Joy Word Dies, cutting several times and layering for dimension. I finished off with some gold ribbon and quickly trimmed out one of the flowers from my leftover paper scraps to accent the top. I can't wait to make more of these for my holiday gift giving!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!
