The Snails Have It

Hi friends! I'm popping in today with a couple cards using the adorable new Snail Village Stamp & Die Bundle from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Two hour tennis practices for the boys twice a week  have given me lots of time to color recently, and I sure had a blast coloring up the images from Snail Village for these scene cards.

First up is a birthday "shell"ebration! I colored up the balloons in rainbow colors, then had fun with the party house and all the snail friends coming to celebrate.  I added a few accents to the shells for some variation, then die cut everything with the coordinating dies.

For the background of the slimline, I used distress inks with the Puffy Clouds Stencil. Then I cut the Fence & Grass Dies from cardstock and used it as a stencil to add some layers of grass. The sentiment is embossed in white, then I layered everything together and accented with stickles.

My next card plays on the snail mail theme, with the sweet snailman image delivering mail.  Since mail times have been less than quick lately, I added the hold on sentiment from A Little Snarky for a chuckle.  The background is done with the Bitty Hearts Stencil. I stenciled the panel in four different colors with deeper pressure at the top and lighter at the bottom for an ombre effect. I shifted the stencil a bit when I changed colors to fill in and make a fun pattern.

The background for my scene is stamped with the Grunge Stripe Background, which is the June Stamp of the Month. It's free with a $60 purchase in the month of June! I finished off with a strip cut with the Fence & Grass Die Set and some thin black mats for contrast.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful start to your weekend.

Loving these gorgeous snail cards Julee - such sweet images, and beautifully used here. Yes mail times are somewhat erratic and looooong, still, even down here Down Under.!
Stay safe
