Coffee and Books

Any book lovers here? I LOVE to read, just about anything except my boys' common core math book! LOL So I was super excited when Alma released this sweet Bliss Digi featuring a sweet bunny drinking coffee and reading! My boys and I have a fun tradition during the summer months and school breaks of "Coffee & Books with Mom" where I read aloud to them while drinking my coffee in the morning.

Anyhow, it's day 2 of the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and this is my contribution for the day.  I printed out the Bliss Digi on cardstock and masking paper, then masked off the bunny.  I blended yellow around the image for a bit of glow, then used a stencil to add the shining rays.  I blended around the edges with blues, then splattered on a bit of ink.  I then removed the mask and colored up the image with Copics, adding a bit of glossy glaze to the glasses.

I then cut out the bliss sentiment from the set, inked with a bit of blue, then matted on green cardstock.  I accented with a couple coffee cups from the Year of the Rat set.
