If you've arrived from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog, you're already on stop 2, welcome to more stampy goodness from me! If not, be sure to head over to the blog for all the info and another card from me! If a link misbehaves along the way head on back there for the full hop list. All right, let's get hopping!
I'm completely smitten with the October Stamp of the Month, My Thoughts of You. These big, bold, beautiful sentiments make a stunning card really easy. For this card I paired it with the Encouraging Peonies set. I started with the background, masking off a rectangle from smooth bristol paper, then blending softly with broken china and shabby shutters distress oxides. I then placed a stencil over the top and went in with the same colors for a tone on tone look. The sentiment from My Thoughts of You is stamped over the panel in black ink.
The gorgeous flower is from the Encouraging Peonies set. I colored the flower and leaf images with Copic markers and then fussy cut to layer as my corner focal point. I finished off with a foam sheet behind the stenciled panel for a bit of dimension.
As a reminder, our October Stamp of the Month is available for purchase, OR you can receive it for FREE with a $75 order during the month of October. Just add it to your cart and the discount will apply once your order qualifies!
And this month we're releasing a very special Stamp for a Cause set! Fear Not is available for pre-order right now. $10 from EVERY Fear Not set sold through the end of the year will be donated to the Saenz family to help with costs related to treatment for their son, Nick. Nick is a 17 year old battling bone cancer for the third time. I love working with a company that is so generous and has a helping and generous heart! The set is a beautiful set of uplifting and encouraging scriptures, and I'm sure I'll be reaching for it again and again! Here's a card I made pairing Fear Not, combined with the Encouraging Peonies set.
Thanks so much for stopping by! There's still a ton of inspiration on the hop, so be sure to click on over to the next stop.
The next stop on the hop is the fabulous Ceal Pritchett!

This peony is lovely, you used it wonderfully to make a card. I like these colors.
I love how you made the background! Thank you for sharing!
The colors on your first card... beautiful! Love the fun background with pretty peony. Your second is just amazing❤
Such a pretty card
These gorgeous florals are perfectly complemented by your lovely backgrounds! Wonderful inspiration with these new supplies.
Beautiful floral card. Such a wonderful way to support Nick through this time.
GORGEOUS CARDS! I absolutely love the colors you chose for the 2 different floral cards!
Beautiful cards and backgrounds are so fabulous too!, Love them all!
Beautiful cards!
As always, your cards are beautiful and Sweet 'n Sassy has a FAB new release. LOVE seeing all this creativity using these wonderful new stamps.
Blessings,

I love the stenciled background! The peonies are lovely, and the scriptures in this set are wonderful!
The scalloped looking background looks amazing. I love to see different things I can do with stencils. Nice job.
Wonderful cards Julee! What a detailed Peony stamp. It's beautiful. I really like both of your cards. The colours you've used on the first one & then the large chevron pattern on the second make them, I feel, appropriate for a man or woman, even with the flower. Who says men don't like flowers...
These are STUNNING designs!
Your flower is gorgeous.
Love the card. The Fear
Not sentiment is so
appropriate for this
time in our lives.
Thanks for sharing

I love that stencil background over the inks! I will totally have to try that idea!

Both of these cards are equally beautiful, I really love the tone on tone background you used with the stencils.
