Folllow Your Arrow Sneaky Peek

Hi friends! There's a brand spankin' new release from The Cat's Pajamas coming September 29! It's filled to the brim with the sassy, whimsical stamps you've come to know and love from TCP.  Today's Day 2 of Sneaky Peek Week and we're featuring the adorable Follow Your Arrow stamp set. Each day through release day, the Cat Pack will be treating you to a peek at a new stamp set. Look for the In it to Win it graphic and leave a little comment love on those posts for a chance to win a Cat Cash gift code to the shop! Sets are available as they are peeked, so if you see a must-have there's no need to wait!

The sweet little woodland critters  in the Follow Your Arrow set totally make me smile! I stamped the raccoon, deer, and teepee on smooth bristol cardstock and then colored with Zig clean color real brush markers while watching the first NFL game of the season. Yay, football! Our town's college team isn't playing this fall due to the virus, so we're so excited there's at least some football to watch on TV.

I hand trimmed the racooon and deer with a small border, then fussy cut the teepee so I could have it blend into my scene's background. To start my scene, I pulled out another fabulous new product from the release... Slimline Basics. I love these dies because they're big enough to cover a slimline card, but you can also easily use them for standard A2 cards, and I even have some plans to use them for layers in my art journal. Isn't it great when a product can translate across many sizes of project?

I started the background with a 4 x 5.25" panel, blending stormy sky and weathered wood distress oxides, then splattering with the same color of ink and some white glimmer metallic ink for a textured sky. Next I cut the hill die from kraft cardstock and blended with gathered twigs and then added some sandy texture with a copic marker.  The grass layer is cut from green cardstock and then I randomly stamped the grassy stamp in forest moss ink, added a few accents to the die cut piece with a Copic marker and then sponged with peeled paint.

I then layered the images together, cutting down my hill and grass die cuts to fit the A2 panel and adhering in different layers to create some depth to the scene.  I finished off with one of my favorite sets from the previously released Hello Darlin' sentiment. It just seemed to flow with the feeling I was trying to achieve with the card.

Alrighty, thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to see what my other teamies are sharing today. Leave a little love at each of their blogs today for a chance to win the drawing! Check out all the details on the TCP Blog.
