Yay You Bring Me Joy

Hi friends! It's time for your friendly reminder about the TCP Tuesday challenge. The February challenge is to use stencils, and you have through the end of the month to play along for a seriously cool prize!

Here are the challenge details...

Each month a new challenge is posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and Facebook page.
  • To play along, upload your design to the Inlinkz link up on The Cat’s Pajamas blog
  • The Cat’s Pajamas products are NOT required, but we do LOVE to see them!
  • Winner is announced the first Tuesday of the following month and will receive a $50 gift voucher to The Cat's Pajamas store.
I've been seeing a lot of people using distress oxides on their gelli plates recently, so thought I'd give the stencil challenge a go with some pigment inks and a gel plate.  For my first card I loaded up my 6x6 gel plate with a yellow, orange and pink pigment ink, then brayered to blend.  I placed the Twist stencil over the top and then pulled a print.  Love the fun look!

I stamped and colored this sweet bunny in a cup image from Make Tea, along with just the flower portion and the teeny mouse and cup, then colored with Zig clean color real brush markers.  I cut the main image in a square shape, then accented the corners with a stamp from the Words of Love set, then offset a black square behind it. The sentiment is also from the Words of Love set and I finished off

For the second card I used the same technique, first inking up the gel plate with orange, peach, and pink, then brayering to blend it out. I then placed the Succulent stencil over the top and pulled my print.  Loved this fun springy background, and thought it would work splendidly with the sweet jumping for joy bunny from the Winning set. I stamped him, colored with copics and fussy cut. Then I stamped the Yay sentiment directly onto my stenciled background in black.  I finished with a birthday sentiment from Simply Said embossed in white on a Ribbon Banners die cut.
