Seasons Givings Blog Hop

Hi there! It's Seasons Givings Blog Hop time again and I'm so excited to be participating again this year. A big shout-out to Latisha Yoast, who does all the behind the scenes work to put on this annual blog hop. The mission for this blog hop is a chance to give back and thank our awesome readers. Each and every stop on the hop is doing their own crafty giveaway! How cool is that?

I've been blogging here for just shy of 13 years (I'm a teenage blogger! 😆) and am so amazed that so many of you are still here having your morning coffee or tea and reading along with me! It's been such a blessing to me to get to share my art here. Thank you so much for your comments and support! My days are a lot quieter when the boys are in school (no complaints there), but it is so nice to see a comment every now and then and know I'm not just blabbing to myself. 😀

2019 brought me amazing opportunities to design for some of my all-time favorite companies...  Hero Arts, Reverse Confetti,  Shimmerz Paints, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, and The Cat's Pajamas! I've been SO blessed by these generous companies! Seriously... their generosity is overflowing my stamp room, so I'm passing some of these fabulous products on to a lucky winner!

My  Giveaway - winner must have a US shipping address
Includes a USPS Flat Rate box filled with papercrafting goodness. Everything shown in the picture, plus some more items that were MIA at picture taking time. A fun assortment of stamp sets, dies, inks, and other goodies sure to inspire creativity in 2020. Most have been lovingly used once or twice, but some not at all.

To be eligible for the drawing: leave a comment below with the answer to this question...

What's the most interesting thing that happened to you in 2019?

Comment deadline for the prize drawing is 8:00 pm Mountain on Tuesday, January 7.  Please check back on Jan. 8 to see if you are a winner.

Today I'm sharing a card with some old and NEW stamps from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. They have a brand new release today, and I used the With Love Alpha for the kind word in the sentiment. I love how this scripted alpha is the perfect size for cards!

The flowers are from the Peony Cluster set and are colored with Copic markers and then hand trimmed to pop up over my ink blended panel.  The You're So part of the the sentiment is from the How Tweet set, and I masked off the "tweet" part of the sentiment.  A little heart from the How Tweet set adds a little bit of interest to the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you're new to me feel free to click the link in the sidebar  to subscribe by email. Or you can keep tabs on my creations as Vervegirl on Instagram or on my  YouTube channel (I'm hoping to post more videos this year now that I have a new phone that has a battery life long enough to film something!). Okay, on with the hop. All of the amazing companies and designers below have giveaways on their blogs today. Hop along and get inspired for the new year! If you're following the list, your next stop is the incredible Cheiron Brandon.

Julee Tilman ✋That's ME!

Affiliate links are used where possible. When you order from them, I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you and you receive happy mail! Win, win! Thanks so much for clicking on my links to shop. 💙

Many ups and downs in 2019. Interesting makes the question more challenging! I guess meeting a fellow stamper that was in my zip code! I was selling something and when I asked for her zip, found her right here! Not only did we meet, but found we had mutual friends from many years ago, and went to the same church! (We go to a large church...) I am looking forward to spending more time with her in 2020.

I don't know if interesting applies to 2019, but I am sad to see such a very blessed year come to an end! 2019 brought my son's college graduation, a wonderful job not too far away from us, and his sweet new wife. My precious niece also married a wonderful man, and though my cousin had a tragic accident, God miraculously spared his life. So many blessings!

First off, Happy New Year!! The most exciting thing for me in 2019 was my first full year of retirement. I never knew I could be so busy😉. My husband and I went to AZ and Hawaii in the winter, spent a lot of time with our grandkids, relaxed at our up north cabin and of course, I was in my craft room creating! It was a very full year and I look forward to what 2020 brings!

The most interesting (also bittersweet) thing to happen to me in 2019 was to have my youngest son move to San Francisco (from Utah) for his job. It was hard for me to see him leave, but so thankful for the many new adventures and experiences he will have in his new life. Always love all of your creations.

This may seem weird but the most interesting thing that happened for me in 2019 was getting a kidney stone! This led to finding a small mass in me which would not have been found if not for the kidney stone. SO,it was a blessing. The mass is coming out soon. Being a cancer survivor the doc wants it out before it can become anything. God is good in mysterious ways. Much health and happiness to you and your family in 2020.

Julee, your cards are always a pleasure to look at. This flowery one is no exception. My Hubby and I bought a hard shell camper almost 2 years ago. That first summer was so wet and rainy that we didn't use it, but in March of last year we took it to a state park in Georgia. First trip with it, and we had an amazing time and just loved our cozy camper. Thank you for a chance to win a part of your stash~

Happy New Year!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful card! I’m always jealous of people’s comic skills.
I also love shimmerz paints so many wonderful colors.
The most unusual thing that happened to me in 2019 was at my sons white coat ceremony ( the ceremony is the start of the last 4 years of medical school) after the ceremony we went out to eat and when I got out of the car there was a small curb next to the sidewalk that I decided to step onto because there was a puddle in the parking lot. With one foot on the curb my Sandal decided to slip off the curb in an awkward way (at this point you are thinking I’m wearing high heels..nope about and inch and a half platform sandal) and when I fell I decided to put my hand in a ground wasps nest lol
Not one of my finest moments.
Everyone was worried about my swollen hand but what hurt the most was my foot..later I find out I broke three of my five metatarsal bones..the bones that go to your toes.
This was the first time and hopefully the last that I ever broke a bone. Not the first time a was stung by a wasp.
So I’m looking to an accident free 2020 lol
Thank you for being part of the blog hop!

Dear Julee
wish you and Your family a very Happy New Year filled with Godo health and happiness is my sincere wish.
The most interesting thing that happned to me is i completely trust Jesus. I was a Buddhist and came to the lord in 2017. Life had my ups and downs but this year has proved me again and again that Jesus is our living and loving God. I was through a situation that i had to raise more than 3000 NZ$ within a few hours as i had to get the services of a immigration lawyer for my grand daughters visa. I got up sick to teh pit of my stomach and i just wanted to cover my self and go to sleep. I was a deprfession patient too. I just dragged myself from bed had a wash came and half heartedly stgarted to pray. tears were rolling down my cheeks and the wors i said is you know teh way but i dont. Pls help me. i was just saying those words and after about 20 minutes or more i called two of my friends and they helped me out. I have already paid one and i have to pay the other. That was a sunday i went to church and for about half hour i just closed my eyes and said teh words Thank You Jesus. tears were pouring down and believe me they were happy tears. I simply trust Jesus and he helps and loves me and i am a very patient person now unlike before. When i have aissue what i do is just pray. I always pray to Jesus in the morning before i start work but if i have a issue i dont look for solutions. I just sit and pray and hand it over to Jesus. I just tell Jesus to sort it his way as it is the correct way. So now even if the world comes falling at my feet i know that i have to believe Jesus and i can do it. I can feel his presence at all times.
With loads of love and grattude

Hi there - the most interesting thing that happened for me this year was after nine years of living in our house, we finally got new landscaping. Good bye to the 1950 boxwoods and "pom-pom" bushes, and hello to native landscaping!

Well in 2019 I moved into my rv and onto my mother's property to help keep an eye on her since she is getting more feeble. Even though she doesn't want to admit it. LOL So living in an rv and trying to do my quilting and papercrafts has been not only a challenge but very interesting as well.

I guess 1 of the most interesting things this year was learning again just how short life is. I had to help set up a funeral, all the arrangements, pick an outfit & pick out our burial plot. Not something I ever thought I'd be doing at this age, but had no choice. So here's to hoping 2020 brings lots of health, happiness & crafting to all!! 🙂🎨☀️

The most interesting thing that happened in 2019 was that I was able to travel to Normandy for a D-Day commemoration. It was very somber and moving to be at the site and learn the story first hand from an excellent guide. As cardmakers, I think we do our bit to spread kindness and peace, which the world still needs now. Happy New Year of peace. Thanks for a chance to win and I love the colors on your beautiful cards.

Your card is lovely. I'm not sure that anything interesting happened this year, but the most fun I would say was my trip too AZ to visit my son and grandson. I gave my granddaughter a mermaid swin class so that she could learn to use the mermaid tail that she got for her birthday. It was a lot of fun seeing the little girls trying out the tails and learning to be mermaids.

First of all, I love your awesome Peony card! The most interesting thing for me in '19 was driving myself from Nebraska to Washington state & back. I lost my wonderful husband a year ago & we always went back to my hometown every summer. He did the driving & pulled our fifth wheel. I decided to be a big girl & drive myself! (Without the fifth wheel!). It was a long trip & I drove over 4300 miles, had an awesome time & proved to myself that I can do whatever I set my mind to even if I am a senior citizen.
