SNSS September Release Blog Hop

There's another fabulous release in the SNSS shop that we've been stamping with and we're so excited to share our projects with you! Hop along and leave a little comment love for the designers linked later in this post and you might just be a lucky winner! One lucky comment from all the comments along the hop will win a $10 gift voucher to the SNSS shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, September 25.

If you've arrived from the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog, you're already on stop 2, welcome to a second card from me! If a link misbehaves along the way head on back there for the full hop list. Alright, let's get hopping!

For my card today, I chose to create with the fabulous new Warmth of Christmas stamp set. This is a true one layer card that was super fun to make with the magic of masking.

I started with the tree image, stamping in distress oxides and then with a little water on my MISTI to get a dimensional look. Next I masked off the tree and cut a mask for a snow bank and laid it down.  I then stamped the lamp post. This one totally makes me think of a scene from Narnia.  I added in a little glow with distress oxide, and then highlighted with Copic markers to get the finished look. Next I masked the lamp post and started in on the background, using shades of blue in distress oxides to give a glow around the tree, working light to dark.  When this was how I liked it, I flicked on some water droplets to give a snowy look, then added some grey Copic highlights on the snow bank for a little dimension and shadow.

To finish off the card, I stamped the title sentiment from the Warmth of Christmas set and glued the panel down to a white card base. Super easy and fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Before you go, check out the Sweet & Sentimental Sale in the shop. Take a look...

Great card! The lamppost is one of my favorite images from the new release and the way it "glows" in this scene is perfect!

Don't know which I like more, the peaceful winter scene with its warmly glowing lamp or that super-encouraging sentiment.....That's why I have so many stamps! LOL!

Wow, this is really beautiful! I love that it's a one layer card but yet, has so much dimension. Beautiful stamping, masking and inking!
