Hero Arts 2019 Oh What Fun Blog Hop

Hi friends! I'm super excited to be joining my Hero Arts friends for a fun blog hop to kick-off the launch of their 2019 Winter Catalog! This catalog is packed with goodness, so you're going to want to make sure you enter the giveaway by leaving a comment at each stop along the hop!

My first card started out with this new set. I loved the horse drawn sleigh image and wanted to make it into a focal point. I stamped with the new Intens-ified Black Ink and then colored with Copics and cut with the outer frame from this fancy die set. I wanted to add some flair to it, so used the Snow & Froth Technique kit to add some puffy white snow.

Next I layered the frame and center snowflake dies together and cut out with arctic cardstock and also with white foam.  I used scissors to remove the inner portion of snowflakes from the foam, so I would just have the outer edge of the ornament for foam.  I layered acetate in between the arctic layer and the foam and added some glitter to the bottom of the shaker before closing it up.

The background is embossed with white satin pearl embossing powder using this background stamp. How I love these snowflakes and the white stain pearl is stunning on the arctic cardstock.  The sentiment is embossed in silver on vellum and added to the bottom. I finished off with rhinestones and a seam binding bow.

I am totally smitten with the Nordic Holiday Bold Prints. It's seriously beautiful and I decided to pair it with the Splitcoaststampers Technique Challenge this week, and used some dot mandala techniques and the pewter glimmer metallic ink to jazz it up. These cards were simple and fun, so I made two in different colors.

I started by stamping the background in fog reactive ink and then another one in stone wash mid-tone ink. I then sponged around the edges with soft pool shadow ink. Using the two ends of a nail stylus, I made large and small dot accents all over the background. It was so nice and relaxing, I think I could probably just sit and do this over and over again!  When the backgrounds were how I wanted them, I embossed the sentiment from this set in silver and then popped up on foam tape, adding a few silver flatback pearls for embellishment

My final card today features another image from the Winter Joy. I stamped, colored and then cut out with the coordinating frame cuts. I then decided to take the card another direction so glued the die cut to a white circle die cut, then added some glitter accents. The Christmas Word Fancy Die is cut from silver glitter paper and I used the same paper to mat the focal circle.

The background is another piece of arctic cardstock, embossed with white satin pearl, this time with the Nordic Holiday Bold Prints. I just love the look and this card is both simple and mailable! Bonus!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  You can check out the whole holiday collection here.
I hope you enjoy the hop. All the giveaway details and hop list are below.

The next stop on the hop is Laura Bassen.
