Christmas in July Joy

Hi friends! It's time for a friendly TCP Tuesday challenge reminder. This month's theme is Christmas in July. I hope you can join in the fun, there's a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to the TCP shop (and there's a fun new release coming July 30, so the perfect time to win a little stamp money!). Read on for the deets.

Each month a new challenge is posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and Facebook page.
  • To play along, upload your design to the Inlinkz link up on The Cat’s Pajamas blog
  • The Cat’s Pajamas products are NOT required, but we do LOVE to see them!
  • Winner is announced the first Tuesday of the following month and will receive a $50 gift voucher to The Cat's Pajamas store.
For my card, I pulled out the adorable Gnome for the Holidays set and colored this tree-trimming gnome up in some non-traditional colors.  I added a bit of stickles for her stocking cap trim, then matted with a Rectangular Stamp Duo die cut in black.

To top my frame, I had a few die cuts left over from last season in a sparkly green and pink glitter paper, so I decided to use the J*Y die cuts and replace the snowflake with a Poinsettia die cut, nestled into a pink glitter star cut with the 3x3 Stars CutUps.  The poinsettia is two layers, a white cardstock layer that I highlighted with Copic markers and then a vellum detailed layer on top.  I finished off with a sparkly embellie in the center.

The designer paper was from a Doodlebug paper pad from a few years back and I finished off with a black mat and a pink card base.

Hope you enjoyed this fun little creation. Stay tuned tomorrow for the start of Sneaky Peek Week! Hooray for new stamps!
