TCP May Sneaky Peek Week - Day 3

Today we are showcasing the gorgeous Henna Tattoos set. I swooned the moment I saw this set. Such beautiful detailed images, perfect for coloring or for super quick backgrounds. And strong uplifting and meaningful builder sentiments. Totally up my alley!

If you've followed me for a while, it might blow your mind to read that this is a true one layer card! I normally struggle so much with this style of cardmaking, but I had an idea in my head and the Henna Tattoos set made it so easy to achieve! I started by stamping the medium tattoo image in the upper center of my card. I then masked it off with purple tape and some copy paper, leaving enough room for my sentiment.

I then blended tumbled glass and peacock feathers with a makeup brush, light to dark horizontally. When I was happy with the blend, I peeled off the tape and stamped the Believe and in yourself sentiments on the top and bottom portions of the white space.  I then used a black pen and a ruler to separate the sections.

Next I colored the image with Copic markers, highlighting with some lacquer accents and clear rhinestones that I colored to match.  My finishing touch was to add the large tattoo image stamped off the top and bottom edges of the card in peacock feathers.  Such a fun card to make!
