P.S. Tthere's a GIVEAWAY! Leave a little comment love on each stop along the way for a chance to win a $10 gift voucher to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Tuesday, May 21.

I'm kicking off the hop with a card featuring the new Marriage Scripture set. The verse I chose to highlight is Ecclesiastes 4:12. The threefold cord reference got my mind thinking about rope and rope made me think of the sea, and the sea made me think it was time to do some more smooshing with water reactive inks!

After I created my smooshed background, I then took three strands of linen thread and braided it into a little cord to lay across the bottom of the card. I had a little extra left over and thought it would make the perfect little center for a flower, so pulled out the Delightful Daisies set and embossed the two sizes of flower in white on watercolor paper and then watercolored with the same colors of reactive ink. I liked how this looked, so I pulled grabbed a scrap panel of my smooshed background and embossed the leaves from Doodled Florals to tuck in behind. I felt it needed a little more depth, so added in some die cut vellum flourishes as well.  I finished with the verse embossed in black on white cardstock and then I flicked the two colors of reactive ink on and grounded the panel with a string of pearls.

My next card uses a background I had made previously with reactive inks and a gel plate. I thought this sweet little pup from Paw-some Pals looked like he was missing a friend, so decided to make a let's get together soon card with it. All of the furry friends in this set are SOOOO adorable!

I started by stamping the pup and bone on some taffy Bazzill cardstock, then coloring with Copic markers. I then fussy cut the pup, cutting a little extra slit under his chin so I could tuck the bone in.  The sentiment is from the Cocoa's Cups set and I stamped it on a die cut circle and then offset a circle of the same size for a fun layout.  I finished with some sponging around the edges and a diagonal striped embossing folder on the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Your next stop along the hop is Ceal Pritchett.

Oh what gorgeous cards Julee - love the blues on the first card, and the white embossing makes the flowers look so delicate,
The pup on the second card is fabulous - and you have coloured him to perfection
