Mojo Monday 512

Can you believe it's already time for another Mojo Monday sketch? Last week flew by with the kiddos off for spring break, but I'm sooooo ready to get back into a routine, at least for a couple more months! Are you excited to play? I hope so! I get so happy checking out your creations, it always puts a smile on my face.

As always, you're free to play along with any papercrafting products your heart desires. Use the sketch as inspiration for your creation, then come link it up below so I can come take a look! The linky for this challenge will close on April 7, 2019. I have included dimensions on the graphic later in this post, but feel free to change them up to suit your needs.

My card today uses some fabulous new goodies from The Cat's Pajamas! Be sure to check out their website for 5 brand NEW stamp sets, 6 die sets and a couple beautiful sequin mixes. The official release is tomorrow, but all the new goodies are loaded up on the website and available for purchase now!

I recently went on a stroll through my local craft store and fell head over heels for the Belle Fleur line of paper from PhotoPlay. I had to pick up a few sheets, and couldn't wait to cut into them.

I envisioned a watermark look to the background, so started inking up all the stamps from the NEW Travel Stickers set and stamping randomly across the patterned paper with cracked pistachio distress oxide ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I added a bit of cracked pistachio sponging to the edges and then set this panel aside.

Next I thought the pretty pink and mint floral paper would make a beautiful faux postage stamps, so cut the Square Stamp CutUps Die from white cardstock and from chipboard, then layered together for a thick and sturdy panel.  I then used the NEW Stitched Squares & More Dies to cut the paper to mount inside the stamp.  I embossed the with love sentiment from the NEW For Fox Sake set (this set is sooooooo adorable!) in white directly on the paptterned paper. For embellishment I used a butterfly from my stash.

A strip of the yellow and purple patterned paper ties in the butterfly perfectly and I finished off with a white card base. I think this card will be perfect for Mother's Day.

Okay, now it's your turn! I really hope you enjoy creating with this sketch.

Very pretty. Love the pretty papers and how you embellished the bottom layer with the stamping and inking. That butterfly is so pretty and sets off the die cut panel.
