Amazing

Hi friends! How are you doing? Today's card is one of those cards I made that had a lot of thoughts running through my head when I made it. You know those voices that whisper all day long that you're not good enough, you don't matter, you're failing, you'll never be this or you'll always be that?  Well, I wanted to surround the recipient of this card with affirmations of worth and appreciation. A reminder of the true words that should be filling her thoughts.

I started with the new Girl Power 2 set, building my lovely gal with the hair, eyes, nose, lips and neckline stamps of my choice and then colored her with Copic markers and then fussy cut her out.

Next I started on the background, smooshing the panel with Stormy Sky distress oxide, then lightly randomly partial stamping the graph stamp from Texture Tiles 1 all around.  I then pulled out the All About You sentiment set and stamped the YOU where I wanted it, so that the girl could rest above it. I then laid out different sentiments from the set and arranged them around her, with the are amazing sentiment below the you.. I finished with  some Copic coloring accents on the you and a white card panel. Simple, and yet so powerful, don't you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope your thoughts are filled with affirmations today!

Oh, Julee, this is a beautiful and touching card! I have a dear blogging friend whose daughter is struggling right now and could use this kind of card. We do all have those voices whispering to us, and yet He is enough and has done enough for us...forever! Beautifully done, my friend, and I love how you've made this amazing background with this thoughtful gal. Stunning! Hugs and love...and praise God for His mercy and grace! xoxo
