Elegant Valentine Shaker

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I'm back with another card to share using the Hero Arts January My Monthly Hero Kit.  I've had so much fun with the kit this month.

Having spent the past 11 years pretty much exclusively stamping with stamps I designed myself, it's new to me to stamp with sets that I'm not completely sure what the designer had in mind. When I first saw the die I used today, I totally thought of the chest of drawers from Beauty and the Beast. Maybe it was the Parisian feel of the kit, but I was wondering why this chest of drawers had no drawers. Maybe it was a mirror? Or just a really cool design for a shaker card! And that's what I went with. Haha! Now that I've seen everyone's samples, I have to laugh because OF COURSE it's an easel.  😅

But it's also a REALLY cool design for a shaker card. I used some of the shimmer paper from the October MMH kit to cut the die from, then cut the inner rectangle from white cardstock and stamped the heart balloons in intense black.  I colored with copic markers and then sponged blushing bride ink around the panel and finished with the sentiment and a few pale hearts.

To play on the elegance factor, I embossed my card base with the GORGEOUS Hearts & Flowers Bold Prints add-on in silver. Doesn't it look so fun? I just love how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. As of my typing this, there are still kits available, but once they sell out they're gone for good. It really is a must have kind of kit.

I loved your story about the easel! I was calling it a sandwich board. Nevertheless, the card is adorable. I love those tiny balloons and the shaker.
