For my card, I had to use this little red panda from the Color Layering Red Panda. I come from the wonder days of two-step stamping with wood mounted stamps, so the modern multiple color laying stamping sometimes makes my brain go all fuzzy. It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to stamp him, as I really wanted my red panda to have some white in him. I finally did a faux white with a white gel pen after the fact! Now I realize I could have just left off the solid stamping layer and colored in just the parts I wanted. Live and learn, right?
Anyhow, I stamped him twice, layering with pumpkin and cup o' joe inks, then fussy cut just his head to pop up for a little extra dimension. I cut him out with the coordinating frame cuts. I chose this sentiment because I thought this would be a perfect little pick me up for one of my little guys. They've been feeling a little lumped together as "the twins" as they're in the same classroom at school, and I thought this sentiment would make him smile. I stamped the moon from the Autumn Moon set and then cut with a circle die and matted with gold.
The background paper is from a 12 x 12 Thankful Heart paper pad I picked up at Michael's for $5recently. I loved the beautiful fall colors and watercolored imagery in the collection, so couldn't pass it up. I cut just a portion of this fun gold foiled dotted paper and finished off this quick and easy card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful start to your week!

What a lovely card for your son - I have not really played with the layering stamps much, so your panda looks wonderful to me Julee
