I started with my two rectangle panels (both 2" x 4") from scraps on my desk. I cut the flower with the Build a Poppy Die Set (expected in stock later this week), then stamped the coordinating flowers and leaves on the die cut pieces. Each layer is sponged with brushed corduroy and then layered together. I cut a 3.25" square and stamped the sentiment in the center, then randomly stamped flowers around the edges in peach parfait, calypso coral and pool party. I did the same for the outer cram cardstock later, sponged all my layers with brushed corduroy and layered them together, adding a couple of tiptop taupe mats to set things off a bit.

Love the effect of the distress vintage sponging along the edges and the LO looks awesome!
This is a beautiful sketch as always, and I too am drawn to the vintage look of the card with a stamp that is so often used in a modern way, just lovely.
Beautiful, love the soft blending colours.
Such a lovely color combo and am loving that poppy background! Gorgeous card, Julee!
I like the subtle change with the distressed inking vs. framing with a different color paper. Very nicely done!
Hi Julee,
Oh gosh, your florals and colors are so rich and lush!
The distressing is just gorgeous - you have DEFINATELY inspired me. Your Verve stamps are sooo lovely. One day... Haha!
Beautiful.
You are the background queen! Love how you used the poppy to create the BG and also as the focal image. You iz zee mastah when it comes to making cards :)
Thanks for explaining the steps...I'm not very experienced in different stamping techniques and I learn a lot form your cards.
Beautiful card!
