Good Work Spotlight Hop

Welcome back to Day 2 of Verve's October 2015 Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas are back for another day of spotlighting the new release! It's release day and everything you've seen spotlighted yesterday and today is available to order in the Verve store! {Due to manufacturing delays the Good Work set is available as a pre-order. The Just Breathe set has limited quantities with more on the way very soon.}

Today's spotlight is shining on the Good Work  set, coordinating Good Works Flower Die Set and the Psalm 150:6 plain jane. Also releasing today is our beautiful Frosted Snowfall Sequin Mix.

My card inspiration started with this a fall Starbucks cup I salvaged and colored a few weeks back.  I've been saving it because I loved how it turned out and wanted to make something special with it.  Last night when I sat down to stamp I realized the Psalm 150:6 plain jane would fit perfectly in the circle cut out where the Starbucks logo used to be.  Hooray!  So I embossed the plain jane in Early Espresso, then stamped again a bit offset with pool party ink for a bit of shadow.  I colored the scripture reference in with a Copic marker and then pulled out the Good Work set.  I embossed the wheat stalk image on vellum, then colored with copics and fussy cut.  I tucked it in the circle so it's peeking out, then did a bit of sponging and distressing to the crumb cake layer and card base.  For a bit of accent I tied a double bow on the side using seam binding from the Autumn Elements Ribbon Collection.
