Preparing Room

Hi friends!  It's been a crazy month for me and I thought I'd pop in and change up the scenery.  The twins are transitioning to separate classrooms at school and it's an emotional roller coaster for everyone involved.  They seem to do great right up until recess time, then they want to head back to their classroom to be together.  My heart hurts as I see both sides of needing their own experiences, but also sharing such a deep bond that it hurts to be apart.  So lots of tears at our house lately.

Anyhow, I was straightening up my office today and found this card I made a while back.  At the time, the Every Heart plain jane was out of stock and I set it aside and forgot about it.  I believe it's also the card that I started from when designing this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  I haven't had a chance to play along yet this week, but am still hopeful. {grin}

I did a little smooshing on the Flourished Tag with some distress inks, then stamped the Every Heart (now finally back in stock!) plain jane over the top in Archival ink.  The pine cone branches are from the Pinecone Christmas set and I inked them up with distress inks, spritzed a bit of water and then stamped for a watercolor effect directly on the card base.  The poinsettia is from the same set and cut with the coordinating Poinsettia Pinecones Die Set.  I finished off with a bit of golden thread behind the tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a fabulous day!

Oh, that's so sad and so sweet at the same time about your twins. I hope they transition well. But I love how you used the pine branches in your background!

Beautiful - love the two pine branches and I'm glad to see that stamp back in stock. I hope your twins settle into the routine soon.

I know it touches your heart to see the twins being separated, even if it is for their own good. I pray they (and you) get settled with their new routine soon.
Love your pretty card and the tag.

This is one of the most beautiful Christmas cards I've seen posted this year. I love cards with Christmas meaning -- not just pretty, but with a message. Totally may have to case this one!

Fabulous Christmas card. Lover the watercoloured leaves and tag.

A good friend of mine has twin boys and has had battles with school admin re: keeping them together in a class vs. separating them. She has fought to keep them together even now that they are heading in to fourth grade under the premise that she as a mom knows her boys best and the twins also know themselves when they want to split up - usually happens by default in high school anyway. If you are on board great but if not, don't let school admin. determine what is best for your boys if you feel it best for them to stay together....go with your mama heart on this one ((hugs))!!

Bless your heart (I still remember when you just had them...wow time flies). Praying for them will give your worry a place to rest...it's hard raising kids! All I do is pray~now that my girlies are teens.
This is the perfect sentiment...I love it! Love your watercolor effect too, Julee~
