A Starry Lovefest

Hi friends!  Happy Saturday!  Today Verve is the featured member company during Splitcoast's Lovefest celebration.  We're hosting a fun challenge in our forum, so check it out for all the details.  There's a couple of prizes up for grabs, so it might just be worth playing along!  ;)  {LOVEFEST2013J Challenge Link}

My card is a really quick and easy masculine birthday card.  First I ran my new Starry Die through the die cut machine with a piece of white cardstock and a piece of early espresso cardstock.  I stamped the stripey star from Seeing Stars directly on the largest white die cut, filling up the entire die cut shape.  This is matted on a Pool Party SU! large star punch out.  The flag is from the new Flag It Die Set and is cut from so saffron cardstock and I embossed the happy birthday sentiment from Small Phrases and then layered it under the star.  Love the look of it!

I wrapped some hemptique thread around the espresso panel, then accented with a button.  The so saffron layer is embossed with the SU! chevron embossing folder.  Then I just layered it onto a panel of pool party, matted with early espresso and added one of the smaller espresso stars to the stripey star.  Easy peasy and I love how it turned out!  {grin}

Well, that's all from me today!  Now that I'm through the big push for release, it's time to get serious about planning the twins' first birthday party.  It's two weeks from today!  EEEEK!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
