Hold On

Hi friends!  I'm so glad it's Friday!  It's been one of those weeks where I've just told myself to hold on over and over again.  Hold on one more hour until the nanny gets here... hold on just a little bit longer until Mark gets home.... hold on just 30 more minutes until the shrieking stops (yes, shrieking, piercing and deafening have all been words OTHER PEOPLE have used to describe the twins' cries!)... hold on until the Keurig makes its magic coffee surprise... hold on just a few more minutes until the migraine medicine takes effect... hold on.... hold on... HOLD ON.  The days are sooooooooo long and the nights are so short and I just keep telling myself it's always darkest before the dawn.  It's always darkest before the dawn.  Dawn WILL come, right?!?

Anyhow, today's card is centered around those two little words that have been repeating in my head.  I picked a few of my favorite scraps from the scrap pile to start with.  Can't go wrong with a little aqua and brown, right? And the stamps are from the Lean on Me set. The aqua looks really bright in the photo, but it really is a mellow card.  I stamped the sentiment onto one of the Mini Classy Label die cuts and then layered it onto a Classy Label die cut, which I dry embossed and added a little Tim Holtz tissue tape.  I used the Flourished Trim die across the width of my card, adding a few liquid pearls accents to make it stand out more.  I used the Ribbon Banner die to cut the ribbon tails, leaving one end uncut, so I could make it a little longer and then roll the top like a scroll.

The flowers from Lean on Me are stamped onto designer paper with Early Espresso and I colored them in with distress markers and a water brush.  An aqua bow and some distressed corners finishes things off.

So, if you're having a rough time right now, this card is for you.  Just keep on holding on!  :)  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a fantastic start to your weekend.

Big hugs to you Julee, parenting is one of the toughest jobs and twins...even tougher I can imagine. Glad you were able to play a little, love this card and those papers with it. I used some of my Verve stamps with those a few weeks ago and it's one of my most favorite cards. Hope your weekend is better!

Aw, Julee...babies are such a blessing and yet such a test of our patience aren't they? Can't imagine how much "holding on" you're doing right now with twins! And all the while, you simply amaze me with your ability to sit down and still create such beauty with your hands while raising two babies and running a business. Big hugs! It really will get better...I promise!

Your card is beautiful, Julee! I remember my first dd crying piercingly non-stop when she was little. My mom was sure I was just "too nervous" a young mom until we stayed at her house and baby didn't stop crying for about 3 days straight. It took 16 years, and then we finally figured out she had food allergies and celiac. Just hold on, and if it doesn't get better, maybe check their food! : )

Hugs and blessings!

Love when you used aqua and brown together - your signature colours for sure :) So many wonderful things on your card as always.

Biiiiig cyber ((hug)) for you, Julee!! Wish I was closer so I could come by and help out and give you a big hug in person.

Motherhood is the toughest job in the world, but also the most rewarding (even though it doesn't feel rewarding this week). Those rewarding days will help erase a lot of the tough ones, honest! Hold on tight to God's hand - He's always there for us and will never disappoint :)

Very pretty. Love the aqua/brown color combo and your beautiful details.
Loved Mr. Verve's comment above.
Do "Hold On" as things will get better although it is rough now. So sorry for all you are going through but as Marissa says, hold on to God as he is always there with us and the rewarding times make the rough times worth it.
God Bless.

Julee,I'm so far behind on commenting and I'm sorry I didn't see this post til now. I'm praying the things are getting easier even since this was posted. I do wish I could give you a hug right now and say yes "hold on" to Jesus - He is there to get you through and also to say thank for encouraging others with your card and reminder to Hold on in the midst of your own rough days.
This card is gorgeous - love this colour combo.
