Finding Peace

Hi friends!  It's Tuesday and I'm a day late with my Mojo Monday 251 card sample.  Since the twins were born it's harder than I ever imagined it would be to find a few minutes to stamp even just one card a week.  I definitely miss the luxury of being able to stamp whenever I wanted to.

Anyhow, today's card is a sympathy card.  Never the fun ones to make, but I do find them comforting.  Each time I make one I remember the deep heartache I've had through losses of my own and realize how much less painful the loss is as the years go by.  The person is never forgotten, but the heartache does eventually let up and I hope that is the case for the recipient of this card.

The papers are all from my box of scraps and I pulled out the New Mercies set to stamp with.  I recently re-discovered a drawer of chipboard pieces and so I've used another glittered chipboard flourish here along with a Kaisercraft flower and some Maya Road rose lace.  Oh, and I just love those skeleton leaves from Pizzazz Aplenty I tucked behind the flower/chipboard accent.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a fabulous day!

Enabler's List:
Stamps:  New Mercies (Verve Stamps)
Paper: black, cream, dp scraps
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Basic Black (SU!)
Accessories:  Classic Circles Nestabilities (Spellbinders), chipboard flourish (Making Memories), flower (KaiserCraft), lace (Maya Road), Stardust Stickles (Ranger), Skeleton leaves (Pizzazz Aplenty), air art tool (SU!)

Julee, you always have the sweetest details on your card...you put so much of yourself into your art. I know it still a crazy time right now when the babies are young, but you'll find your way and get into a groove again...it just may look a little different than before. Hang in! 'Cause I can tell your mojo is still working at full speed!

Fabulous card as always, Julee! Love the musical score and the lovely leaf sprig. Fabulous touch with the flourish. You may only be stamping once or twice a week, but the mojo is still flowing strongly :)

Hang in there with the new changes...things get easier as they get older and you'll find a schedule that works for you - honest. Remember those times well and can confidently say, there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Waiting anxiously/impatiently/excitedly for a release party date :)

Enjoy the time stamping while they are small. There will be less as they grow.

Lovely sympathy card. I always find them so hard to make.

Your card is beautiful! I am always making sympathy cards for my Mother so it is great to see samples especially of stamp sets that I have. I love the blues and greens.

Wow, this is truly a beautiful card! Those skeleton leaves are just awesome, and I love that you can still see the sheet music behind them. I also like how the black is used as an outline around the DP and, of course, the beautiful ribbon and flower the sentiment is anchored to is so perfect! Thanks to you I have just added the New Mercies stamp set to my ever-enlarging Verve wish list. I just hope I don't have to wait to long, it's a beautiful set. Hope you birthday is spectacular!
