Look Out World

Hi there, friends!  How's your week?  I've had a crazy one so far, which means there hasn't been any stamping time. I do however have a CARS (clean & relatively simple) card I made a couple weeks ago with Debbie's Mojo 192 sketch that I never shared.

I just love the look out WORLD sentiment from To the Moon.  It's so full of hope and optimism.  The sentiment  perfectly describes how I feel right now.  I've been faced with a few challenges recently that have my head spinning a bit.  In fact, all I really want to do is curl into a ball on my bed and cry.  But I know that's not going to make anything better, so I've decided to do everything in my power to change the things I can.  I am a very determined person and I've got my sights on a pain-free, drug-free, long, healthy life.... so look out world!

Yesterday, my chiropractor and I were talking about focus.  He said that if you want something, first believe that you can achieve it, then line up your actions on that belief and focus your attention and thoughts on it, and you will eventually achieve it.  If you're not achieving the goals you set for yourself, take a look at what you're focusing on and what your actions have been, and you might see that you're sabotaging yourself.  I've definitely aligned and re-aligned my actions and thoughts over the past few weeks and can't wait to see where it takes me!

Okay, that's probably enough rambling for one day.  I did make my very first art journal page this weekend.  Do y'all want to see it?  I'm a little nervous because it's a lot different than what I normally post here, but if you're interested, I'll share it this week.  Have a fabulous day!

Cute card! Love that EF (I'm in trouble...) and Emery is too cute. FUn border punches and the little torn edge on the one panel is a great touch.

Your chiropractor's comments sound a lot like Covey's Book "7 Habits
of Highly Successful People". He gets you to focus on what the goals are in your life and once you have them to make plans to achieve them and if things cross you path don't help you get there, move on and don't entertain them. Also talks about readjusting to achieve them etc. Great book. Was years ago when I read it and still remember some of it. So...press on and go girl!!! I'm cheering from the sidelines for you :)

The card is so sweet, and the sentiment obviously strikes a chord with you in whatever you're going through. The mind is a wonderful thing - if you focus your energies on your goals, there is no doubt that they'll come to fruition! And OF COURSE I'd like to see your Art Journal page - creativity shared with others is so much more rewarding, isn't it?? :-) All the best, Julee!

Your chiropractor gave you some great advice, the hard part is following through, but it looks like you are determined and therefore well on your way!
And yes...I'd love to see your Art Journal! You are an extremely talented artist and I know it's going to be fabulous!

Tough times are never easy and you are right, we do have that bad tendency to sabotage ourselves! Just try to accept where you are, then make a goal to work through it and then just believe in it and do the best that you can that day. As my Aunt said to me a few years back when my whole world turned upside down, take one day at a time and just keep plugging through! Every time I find myself freaking out about what I can't change - I remember her words, and it does usually calm me down and allow myself to find my way back! It is not always easy, but things are and do usually get better over time. Good luck to you.
Your card is very cute and adorable. I keep saying that this paper crafting art is very good therapy!
