When I started designing this set, I wanted a set that could be used to make quick and easy card sets for gift giving so I incorporated an elegant background, a few coordinating images and some elegant sentiments to make a versatile set that can be used for all those special occasions. For this card, I embossed the medallion background with Craft Chocolate Chip ink and clear EP onto Close to Cocoa cardstock. Next I embossed the Birthday Wishes sentiment on a scrap of Soft Sky and pieced together with the Close to Cocoa panel, hiding the seam with some chocolate taffeta ribbon. The main image is embossed on white cardstock with Craft Chocolate Chip and then I colored with Copics. This is cut out with a Peony Nestabilities die and then inked with close to cocoa and chocolate chip ink. I cut a coordinating mat from Chocolate Chip cardstock and embossed with the background stamp. I used a 1/2" circle punch to cut circle from the embossed chocolate chip piece and layered it on a pop dot in the center of the flower. Then I simply finished off by accenting the background stamping as well as the center of the flower with some Platinum Liquid Pearls.
