There are a few trivial little "things" in life that I have crazy love for...
Hello Kitty, anything by Gwen Stefani, the art work of Don Li-Liger, Tully's coffee and most recently.... KETTO! It's that kind of love where just the mention of the name can make you all excited, giddy and start clapping like a little girl! It's frivolous and silly, but hey, they make me happy! :) From the first moment I saw these adorable little KETTO stamps by Stamping Bella, I was in crazy love. My order finally arrived this week and I've been doing a little bit of stamping just for me on the sly! Here's the evidence...
First up, is Ivy KETTO. This card was inspired by the fabulous little button inspiration photo for the Bellariffic Friday Challenge. I loved the fun sherbet-y color combo. The background for all the white panels are stamped with Kenya's Sparkle stamps in Tangerine Tango and Rose Red. Ivy KETTO is stamped in A Muse black dye ink and then colored with Copic markers. The feeling groovy sentiment seemed to fit the funky colors, so I added a bit more green to the sentiment. The DP is from the Nonsense paper pad by We R Memory Keepers and I used some So Saffron grosgrain and in keeping with the inspiration photo, added a few little buttons from the stash. Then it was time to add the sparkle. Each center dot in the sparkle stamps is highlighted with Orange Peel or Fruit Punch stickles. Isn't she fun?
Next up is Wasabi KETTO. This card uses a gorgeous new line of digi papers released by Kelley Mickus called Whisper. I stamped Wasabi KETTO in Rich Cocoa Memento ink twice and colored with Copic markers. I cut out her dress and paper pieced it, adding a little dimension to the ends with pop dots. The sketch was this week's sketch challenge on SCS {SC222}. I added the have a sunshiney day sentiment down the side, and embellished with one of Wasabi's Flowers colored With Copics and accented with Scattered Straw Distress Stickles and a pink flatback pearl in the center. I used more of that so saffron ribbon, and added a few faux stitches to the printed papers and Groovy Guava layer before matting to a Chocolate Chip card base. The finishing touch was a little sparkle added with a Stardust gel pen and a blender pen.
The final KETTO for today is Charlotte KETTO. I went clean and simple (not a usual look for me) with this one, but I love how it turned out. The inspiration was this week's Clean and Simple challenge on SCS {CAS08} Charlotte KETTO is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I added a few little dots to dress up each corner of the panel and a black mat. The thinking of you sentiment is stamped directly on the card base and a little black grosgrain knotted bow finishes off the sleek look.
Well, I hope you've enjoyed a little peek into my newest obsession. Three cards with similar images, and 3 very different looks! Have a fabulous weekend and be sure to spend a little time with one of YOUR crazy loves this weekend!
