A Year in Verve

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing with you a project I made as a Christmas gift this year. I haven't posted it until now mainly because I've been too lazy to edit the photos! LOL! This is a 6 x 6" stand-up calendar bound with a Bind-It-All. I wanted it to stand on its own, but knew 12 sheets of cardstock and embellishments would be too bulky. So I decided to make it a double-mounted calendar, requiring only 6 sheets of 6x6 cardstock so that when you get to the end of June, you just flip the calendar around and start on the second half of the year. So Jan/Dec, Feb/Nov, Mar/Oct, Apr/Sep, May/Aug, and Jun/Jul each share one piece of cardstock. Never having done this before, I was a little nervous that it wouldn't work the way I imagined in my head, but I was pleased as punch when it turned out perfectly!

I used the A Muse square format calendar download that benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and printed the pages on lightweight cardstock. Each page in my calendar has a 5.75" square of patterned paper, a calendar matted with Chocolate Chip cardstock, chocolate grosgrain ribbon and a stamped Verve image matted on a scallop square punch and embellished with Liquid Pearls and in some cases, Stickles. I'll just list what stamps and paper I used for each month and then leave you with the pictures! Click 'em to see a larger photo.

Can you pop by my blog, I have something for you. I don't expect you to follow the rules but I would be very pleased if you would just accept and show it. I feel you Challenge Makers etc. deserve a lot of credit too.
